Yes, but only when the topic relates to the Obama Administration, and this thread direct relates to it.

Apparently you. Otherwise there is no reason to bring up the Bush administration. By bringing it up as a "they did it too" point you display the immaturity of that path of defense.
Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.

Wrong again j!! It's been wrong every time a president has done it, and failure to hold them accountable has weakened our democracy. We should be holding this administration accountable, and should have held every other administration accountable. I am not justifying anything.

Isn't it better to hold the administration accountable when they are the administration???

What a ridiculous question, should have been rhetorical, yes of course, that's been my point forever. Stop being a partisan and start doing it with every president!

We do it with every present President. Otherwise there is a history area for those who want to discuss the past.

Wrong! Presidents aren't held accountable. Partisans don't do that, your welcome to find another thread, I'm fine here.

But this thread is specifically addressing CURRENT IRS scandal.

    Under Obama.

So how is your repeated attempts at hijacking it relevant to Lois Lerner targeted Conservatives ?

Or a GOP Politician ? Its not.

    Again, start your own thread.

Because its already been documented that she targeted progressive groups as well. It's what the IRS does, except when presidents use the agency to specifically target political opponents, which has been documented by multiple presidents. It's just that its never important when its your president doing it, which is what makes the outrage over LL incredible.

The event organizer apparently offered to pay for Grassley's wife to attend the event. In an email to another IRS official, Lerner suggests referring the matter for an audit, saying it might be inappropriate for the group to pay for his wife.

...In a statement, Grassley's office said the senator did not attend the event, and did not receive any invitation intended for Lerner.

"This kind of thing fuels the deep concerns many people have about political targeting by the IRS and by officials at the highest levels," Grassley said. "It's very troubling that a simple clerical mix-up could get a taxpayer immediately referred for an IRS exam without any due diligence from agency officials."

...The IRS says it has lost an untold numbers of Lerner's emails because her computer crashed in 2011, sparking outrage among Republican lawmakers who have accused the tax agency of a cover-up. The emails released Wednesday were among the thousands that have been turned over to congressional investigators.

Going after a United States Senator is pretty brazen. And this is just one e-mail exchange while an "untold" number of Lerner's emails can't be recovered because of a "computer crash."
You could look at this in a couple of ways. On the one hand Lerner's IRS colleagues shot the idea of an audit down, saying that the issue could not be audited until Grassley turned his tax returns in and then failed to declare the gift. So, the system worked and there was no "audit".

On the other hand Lerner apparently didn't understand her job or tax laws to suggest going after Grassley just on the basis of that invitation. She just happens to always go after conservatives and always on a questionable pretext.
