Taking the fifth when asked about your government job during an investigation I can see as grounds for dismissal.

There was nothing to see, because when the mislabeled backups were found, nobody made noise about them.

You know the opposition would have if there was dirt in them.

You mean they weren't lucky enough to have the laws of probability stretched beyond all known multiples via simultaneous hard drive crashes occurring to specific people involved?

Dang, some people are lucky, and I guess some people make their luck.

Even that sounds fishy. I understand she sent the email targeting Grassley with an "exam" over her blackberry. Is that the smoking gun in retrieving these lost emails or has her blackberry crashed too?

That story is dated June of LAST year. However, a quick search doesn't reveal what the disposition of this incident was.

    Interesting.

E-mails that WERE recovered, and once they were, there was obviously nothing sinister in them to hang on the Administration because we heard no more about them.

And remember that a special prosecutor was appointed for both the Valerie Plame scandal as well as the firing of the federal attorneys that was also a subject of requested e-mails during the Bush administration. You didn't have a President Bush sanctimoniously declaring outrage and pledging to get to the bottom of it and then doing nothing. During the Bush administration, wrong doing or questionable stuff WAS investigated until there were answers.

The US has both used and provided plenty of WMD on and to many countries.
