But Boehner will be able to say that he tried.
If the GOP had enough numbers in the house and senate, he could go for impeachment, which might be easier. If his lawsuit goes to a unbiased high court, they'll just laugh and strike it down.

At this festive time of year, every other year, all our representatives are concerned about is keeping their jobs, and each party is concerned about keeping or gaining the power. It's disgraceful.

Again, I'm not saying I don't disagree with what Boehner thinks, I just disgaree with this action right now. The optics of it are awful.

Well, he does that every day. Every person involved in law enforcement does.

And here's a list of Bush era regulatory actions related to EPA, etc. You'll see lots of discretion being invoked there.

Leader says House plans to sue Obama

How can an overly sensitive wimp come up with something like this? did he drink some tea or something?
About time someone did. Congress should have been doing this during Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, etc. All of them have taken executive actions which they are not legally allowed to do. And if congress doesnt exert their power they will lose it. The constitution makes congress the policy makers. The Presidents job is to execute congresses decisions, not to make them. We also likewise need to be suing congress for constantly passing laws we didnt give them the power to do. THROW THEM ALL OUT.

It's basically why nobody ever pushed the limit of trying to impeach Bush, fear of the unknown, which might be something to fear after all.
I welcome it. I dont care which party is keeping the govt in check. Someone has to do it. Voters need to be doing it. Congress needs to be doing it. The President needs to be doing it.

I think the problem that most of us liberals have is the fake out cry from the right regarding this like Obama is some kind of rogue president doing whatever he wants. We have the speaker of the house wasting tax payers money trying to sue the POTUS while tearing up at the mentioning of his hero Ronald " I do no wrong" Reagan, who of course almost double the amount of EO that Obama has.

I'd say most of the criticism of Obama's executive orders doesn't come from the quantity but from the scope of what they do. They do not doubt the constitutionality of executive orders by the president, but believe that some of Obama's have been unconstitutional.

No, it's right to the point. Obama is well within the the confines of what other presidents have done and his opponents behave as if he was miles ahead of them. That hyperbolic nonsense has come from those who dislike him from day one. Can't you see the problem with that?

Most of the misinformation has been about quantity. I run into conservatives daily who tell me he's done more than anyone. And won't believe otherwise. But even in quality, Obama is average at worse.
