No, the situation was ripe for its departure. I view that a good thing. No one could imagine Miliki would screw it up so bad. The situation was stable on the ground, the proper foundations laid, the military and the whole U.S. for that matter did all that could be expected. It is like we took a baby and taught it how to crawl and then to walk, how to run was up to the kid or in this case Iraq and Miliki. One can do only so much.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

Seriously? Can you make just one post without blaming Obama for things he has no bearing on? I'd sure as hell hate to be your dentist when you have a toothache.
Obama is in charge, and on his watch terrorist groups are spreading all over. Obama presided over the withdrawal of US military forces. Obama has selectively been fighting in the ME since he came into power. He's at the wheel.

Does anyone else see something a bit incoherent here? Not to mention the whole "peace at the cost of millions dying" bit. USC... peace means NOT killing therefore if there are millions being killed its not peace.
People dying in the ME is the default state. Im talking about peace for the US, where we dont have to worry about a large terrorist nation called ISIS.

They can kill each other all they want-which is very much what they want.

As far as I know, the Obama admin provided aid to the FSA, food and medicine-but not arms. If you know different please link.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the arms given Turkey for deliver didn't make it into the bad guys hands.

As per my post #99, I support the limited boots in special forces activities, liking blowing the **** out of their armor.
    And protect refineries.
Syrian planes must have been given Putin's okay, so the lines are further drawn.
In the end, I'll stay with my original: this ISILS is like Spartacus and the slaves .

As long as he's going there, didn't McCain actually meet with some of these "new" bad guys ?

As I told someone else, either in this thread or another is that you need a program to figure all this mess out. We're sending in advisors and intel speciists to help Miliki. Syria and Assad, we are trying to overthrow Assad is now on Miliki's side and I presume makes him on our side too even if we are trying to over throw him. Iran is also on Miliki's side and we don't like Iran one bit and are trying to stop them getting nukes. Then there is the financial support of our supposedly allies going to ISIS, Saudi, Kuwait and Qatar. Now if Putin is indirectly back Miliki through Syria and Assad, what the heck is going on here?

Perhaps we should just stay out entirely or at least until this mess makes a bit more sense. By the way here is the latest Gallup Poll on Iraq.

Support for Iraq Military Action Low in Historical Context

Doing nothing seems what the majority of Americans want.

More like your ideology does not trump the facts.
