To the Far Right Wing nuts, anybody who actually believes in governing the country and is a Republican is a RINO. To be a 'true Republican' in their narrow little fantasy-land, you actually have to believe that Obama is the Anti-Christ and must never, ever, be treated as the President. They are so filled with hate and so wrapped up in their warped view of the world that if you don't believe what they believe, you are a RINO.

Tancredo is a complete, absolute nutcase of the ultra far right. Best not to ever cast a vote for someone that crazy, on the off chance that his challenger might die or something.

As we now hear with over 800,000 of them not registered in GA .
Agreed. The Right wing loon would have been far easier for the Democrats to defeat. However, given that this is Mississippi, I don't think the Democrats have a hope in hell of winning that election regardless of who the Republican candidate was. Cochran is far less dangerous to the nation than the right wing loon.

    It depends on the state.
Only 84,000 DEMs voted the 1st time around, since the DEM candidate Childers was understood to win.
Only these 84,000 Dems could not vote in this primary.
All other dummy Dems could vote for Cochran, making the general practically impossible to win.
    Its all voters in general.
Although I think it is more due to a combination of being to lazy to pay attention to politics and apathy.
It even happens with registered voters.
You can look at any polling location and see that it is true.
The more local an election the lower amount of voters in that polling location show up and the more national the election the more voters in that same polling location show up.
So just because you got a million registered voters does not mean all of them will show up.
More than 60,000 more people voted in this run-off than in the GOP primary .

The Dems were not going to beat McDaniel in Mississippi. Letting Cochran back-in is really a preferable outcome Dems; the proverbial lesser of evils.... or, since we are speaking of Mississippi, the lesser of two weevils.

Obama got 44% of the vote in MS in 2012 without campaigning there, which can be spun several ways.
McDaniel had already made a ton of mistakes, just waiting for Fall commercials.

He was easily another Akin/Mourdock, and I heard one of his supporters talk today of "legitimate votes",
in reference to enforcing a 1942 Jim Crow law.

Akin and Mourdock didn't just hurt the GOP in MO and IN--they helped drag the GOP down .

No one thought Donnelly had a chance to win in Indiana either--and then Lugar lost to the TEA-party's Mourdock.
And Donnelly was also a strong candidate, a sitting congressman.
As for Cochran, he's a rubber-stamp to McConnell's filibuster war with Reid over amendments.
If not a 6 term limit, what ?

True, but when a Tea Party or other candidate from the right-wing end of the Republicans win the primary and is exposed to the media, they can make a controversial comment and crash and burn (like Todd Akin.) IDK I might be wrong, and there's no way to find out if that would occur now.
