    I disagree.

I've been vaccinated, my kids have been vaccinated, what do I care if folks want to be dumbasses?

Seems to me a good reason for government to be involved in health care choices and for religion to stay in the church. I have never understood people not vaccinating, it is just as bad a smokers thinking second hand smoke is no big deal because they are entitled to their cigs.
Not vaccinating is not just religiously motivated. There are many people who are just lazy and don't get their children vaccinated until they are told they cannot start school without proof of immunizations. (Evidenced by resurgence in pertussis.) So, the government is ALREADY involved and makes the rules. The Amish don't go to public schools, so they are not held to such rigor. They do, however, shop in public places where everyone else shops and can spread things like measles to the rest of the unvaccinated population. And sometimes to the vaccinated population as vaccinations are not 100% effective. I speak as a mother who gave my children so many shots they felt like pin cushions, and my son still got mumps as did several others in his class at school.

I care that their dumbass choice endangers their children, and others. My niece isn't old enough for all the recommended vaccines yet. Unvaccinated people put her in greater danger, and that makes me a tad ornery.

I, for one, am against forced anything when we're talking about medications.
Vaccinations are already 'forced.' Don't believe it? Try putting your children in public school without them.

I have a right to increase exposure risk for children in school, damnit!

Very poorly. That dastardly government prevented my choice from risking the lives of other children.

Assuming you haven't been exposed, or your family. That is how I feel about these nuts who don't believe in vaccinations. Their silliness exposes all the rest of is. If they hate modern medicine they should move to central or the rift valley of Africa.
