That those values would not exist without Christianity or Christian influence.
A good way to test your theory would be to look at countries not based on Christian values and see if you can spot any differences.

Perhaps you never read the post I was referring to. The poster said "who is to say what religion reigns supreme?" Certainly we can judge that some religions are preferable to others, just as we can with any philosophies.

Seems highly likely, and a reasonable assumption to make.

Might it also be a reasonable assumption that Barack is very good at suppressing the expression of these beliefs, where as Michelle isn't as good at this suppression?

People all over the world believe in helping each other in times of great peril. Take natural disasters, for example. A flood, earth quakes, volcano eruption, hurricane or tsunami, when such disasters strike the people all pull together to help one another. In fact, the world seems to come together at such times of great strife. Look into the holy writings of every religion - Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Catholicism and you'll likely find that helping the sick, infirmed, elderly, widowed and the poor are basic moral tenants of humanity. It's governments and religious zealots that screws such beliefs in decent acts of humanity.

I read the post and understood both what the poster was saying, as well as, your reply to same. Hence, the reason I commented the way I did. You have to be able to verify what any so-called Preacher and/or witness to any religion is trying to tell you before excepting it as truth concerning your religious conviction. Otherwise, you can easily end up being led astray. Where today's apparent Holy War is concerned, the religious zealots are on both sides - Christian and Muslim. Both will play on people's fears in order to get what they want - blind followers of the faith. The same is said of religious cults.

1 John, 4:1-2. "1. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2. Hereby know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God."

An even easier way is to simply determine what exactly are Christian values and prove that no other cultures have those values.

Normally I'd tell them to get the plank out of their eyes before getting the speck out of his, but in this case we're talking an entire warehouse full of planks! LOLOLOL

That has nothing to do with the suggestion of why some countries with different religions don't do as well as those countries based on Christian teachings..

There's plenty of non-Christian countries that do just fine, there's plenty of Christian countries that are complete crapsacks.
