It's easy to talk about impeaching someone. Actually doing it is a little harder

True enough, and it's a last, last resort. This POTUS seems to be begging for it though.

But I'm quite used to candidate Obama bearing absolutely no resemblance to President Obama. You can't believe anything uttered by this man is his conviction or the truth.

Not the first time he was caught doing this. Most of what he bashed Bush for he did exactly the same thing. Obama is a prolific liar, but sadly people believe him.

I am just going to guess that before the GOP has any chance of impeaching Obama his term will be up and Hillary Clinton will be in the White House.

While the number of Obama's executive orders have been less than past presidents, the impact of Obama's executive orders have been massive.

People supporting this IMO are using the excuse of "The ends justify the means", however, the stage is set for a GOP president to do the same thing.
I couldn't have said it any better. I agree with you 1000%.

I support gay marriage and equal rights, and think they should be the norm in this country. It gives me pause when Obama has decided it's okay to legislate these things by EO. What is to stop any future President from a, overturning these things via EO, but also b, using his EO powers to put something dangerous in place. There is a reason we have 3 branches all with equal power. They are supposed to keep each other in check so no one branch has more power than it should.

    Excellent post.

Executive Orders only work if you do business with the government or take government money in any way, shape or form.

Campaigns are full of lies, if we want to be PC one then calls them half truths. Never believe a politicians words, just watch what he does, his actions. But the vast majority of Americans pay no attention to the actions, just the rhetoric and they believe every word of the rhetoric.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

I'm going to guess that impeachment is a Democratic talking point and deliberate straw man devised to divert discussions from uncomfortable subjects. This topic is about a specific Obama executive order, and in expanded form, the pros and cons of executive orders used to circumvent Congress and the Constitution. Could we focus on that please?

People want to believe rhetoric. It's frightening how many people are swallowed up in a politician's words to the point that they swoon when he arrives to speak and cry like housewives when he promises them the moon.

A chicken in every pot, I think is how FDR put it. But no one bothered to tell the people that pot would be in the soup kitchens.
