U.S. Captures Benghazi Suspect in Secret Raid.....

Yes, I agree. The Benghazi attacks that took place on 9-11-12 and the leader of that attack is captured on 6-15-14 (2 years and 9 months.) is a pretty good job.

But please note that on 9-11-01 the twin towers were hit and our President (George Walker Bush--January 20, 2001 – January 20, 2009) said that "he can run but he can't hide". Eight years that gentleman held that office, and he actually had Osama bin Laden cornered at Tora Bora and he let people that we were fighting earlier to go in and get him. Well needless to say we know how that worked out.

Then Barack enters on 1-20-09 and bin Laden is killed on 5-2-11 (2 years 4 months.). I must say that Barack got better at this by 5 months.

Heya BoBN.....except for one fact. He is not the leader, nor the one that set up the attack. :Oopsie

We have Captured one of the Terrorist Ring-leaders in the Benghazi attack that killed Stevens. This is the guy who is one of the leaders of the Ansar Al Sharia groups in Libya. He was at the hotel bragging a while back he wasn't going anywhere. Then took off once he found out we knew him and his group that was working Security Set up the roadblocks on our people. He is enroute to the US or Gitmo now. No others were with him. So he is the only one caught so far. What say ye?

U.S. Special Operations forces captured one of the suspected ringleaders of the terrorist attacks in Benghazi in a secret raid in Libya over the weekend, the first time one of the accused perpetrators of the 2012 assault has been apprehended, according to U.S. officials.

The officials said Ahmed Abu Khattala was captured Sunday near Benghazi by American troops, working alongside the FBI, following months of planning, and was now in U.S. custody “in a secure location outside Libya.” The officials said there were no casualties in the operation, and that all U.S. personnel involved have safely left Libya. The Washington Post learned about the capture Monday but agreed to a request from the White House to delay publication of a story because of security concerns.

Officials, speaking on condition of anonymity about the still-secret operation, would not say where Khattala was being held. They said he was “en route” to the United States, but would not say when he was expected to arrive.....snip~

This sounds like the initial negotiations for one of those trades that involves "a player to be named later".

How about "suspected ringleader" than? ;)

Yeah an underling. Like an Officer. That's despite his starting his own group. Which is more than likely mostly his family members.

Because a small fry Ansar Al Sharia guy is just like Bin Laden, with all the protections, resources and people to hide him. If you're going to point out a false comparison at least pick a good one and not this nonsense. Don't forget, the NYT knew where these guys were for weeks after the attack - funny how Obama didn't get that information from the news like everyone else did or we could have gotten a few more right away.

Check this out Luther. I smell BS.....and a Patsy! This guy is small time potatoes.

Journalists Haven't Had Trouble Finding Benghazi Suspect Ahmed Abu Khattala
Posted: 12/06/2013 9:59 am <<<<< !

The Washington Post reported Friday that the U.S. efforts to capture suspects in the Sept. 2012 Benghazi attack, including alleged ringleader Ahmed Abu Khattala, have stalled.U.S. forces planned to capture Khattala in October, but dropped the mission following the fallout from a separate raid in Tripoli. An official told The Post that Khattala's "free as a bird." Khattala's seemed that way for some time -- at least through media reports. While the U.S. government has so far been unable to catch Khattala, journalists haven't had trouble locating him since shortly after the attack that killed four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens. Last year, I wrote how both the New York Times and Reuters sat down with Khattala around the time he was first considered a suspect. In those reports -- and in more recent ones -- journalists have noted the disconnect between his status as a wanted man and casually meeting in public.

On Oct. 18, 2012, New York Times reporter David Kirkpatrick "spent two leisurely hours" with Khattala "at a crowded luxury hotel, sipping a strawberry frappe on a patio and scoffing at the threats coming from the American and Libyan governments." Reuters caught up with Khattala the same day and similarly reported that he didn't appear overly concerned. "Sitting with a friend in the restaurant of a Benghazi hotel, the 41-year-old, sporting a red felt hat and a full salt-and-pepper beard, laughed gently," wrote Hadeel Al Shalchi and Ghaith Shennib.

And that's not the last time Khattala popped up in the western media. In August, CNN's Arwa Damon spent two hours with him at a well-known hotel coffee shop in Benghazi. When asked on-air about locating Khattala, Damon said he's "not a man who is in hiding." Khattala recently surfaced again in the western media, meeting with a Times of London reporter in late October.....snip~

DP exists to make a political issue out of anything and no one mentioned political party's. I mentioned it took too freaking long though.

It took Bush longer to catch Bin Laden...oh wait!

Well.....lets be honest now. BO hasn't caught the Leader of this Attack and or Ansar Al Sharia and who calls the shots there. So really there is no Comparison. Just sayin.

But don't worry Buuuuuusssssh. Is there to save the Day. ;)

Ready to go and with 2 of BO's - Tomahawk throwers. :2usflag:

Really, MMC. Do you know the full scoop on this guy?

Tora Bora is not a good one, huh. OK.

You have an excellent point.
We should free all of the terrorists that killed our people, then go and arrest Obama and Clinton instead.

Why bother capturing murderers when you can have a nice faux conspiracy for political gain off the backs of our dead Americans instead?

Isn't it just horrible ???

Politicizing the deaths of four Americans.

How DARE anyone sink to such a disgusting and disgraceful level !!

Lol !

Their deaths were POLITICIZED the instant Hillary Clinton released a press statement blaming the attack on the video.

That was done the night of the attack.

It was done BEFORE the attack was even finished.

And it was complete BS because a day later the State Department was in communication with the Libyan Government telling them it was Ansar al Sharia who was responsible.

Get it ? A day after the attack and three days before Susan Rice was sent out on National television to BS the American people OUR STATE DEPARTMENT was telling the Libyan Government who attacked our Embassy.

And it wasn't a bunch of protesters.

Obama and Hillary decided that this attack AND the deaths of four Americans was too much of a political nuisance.

They put their political welfare over the truth and not only did they lie to the American people but they lied to the Family members and they've never stopped.

Hillary stood in front of those coffins and kept perpetuating the You tube video narrative so don't preach to me about Politicizing the deaths of four Americans.

Its a bit hypocritical of you to say the least.

Really, MMC. Do you know the full scoop on this guy?

Not all of it....but a lot about him. Also I already put up the Leader of Ansar al Sharia in Libya in the Thread.

But here is the guy they want for the Attack on the Consulate.

The FBI believes other groups were also involved in the Benghazi attacks and is pursuing criminal charges against several individuals, including Abu Sufian bin Qumu, the leader of Ansar al-Sharia in the Libyan city of Darnah. Qumu has also been designated a terrorist by the State Department, as has his group......snip~

Barry is a wus. I wouldn't brag on his so-called acomplishments because he didn't do squat.

I'll guarantee you this: it's better than "I went after Osama bin Laden and all I came back with is a 'Mission Accomplished' sign that no one believed." ;)

You ever hear of things coming in threes? ;)

Who cares? I live in the now.

Well good for you because now is when it's going down. ;)

It was actually regime change and bringing democracy to the ME...but that's neither here nor there since Barry cut and ran.

Who cares? I live in the now.

It's difficult to tell when leftists are trying to be funny or whether they just don't know the facts. Or maybe they just try to misrepresent facts.

It was actually regime change and bringing democracy to the ME...but that's neither here nor there since Barry cut and ran.

And he's announced to Al Qaeda and the Taliban that he'll do the same thing in Afghanistan. What could possibly make him a worse strategist than he already is?

You ever hear of things coming in threes? ;)

Did you hear the one about BO releasing 5 Taliban. 3 of them Leaders that Taught Bin Laden a lot of what he knew. Are connected to not only AQ but other Terrorist organizations.

One has already said he will get back to the battlefield Already. Wants a little payback for what he has been put thru.

Don't forget ISIS in Syria and Iraq now.....that's another BO screw up. Giving those Rebel/Terrorists Weapons and soft aid. especially those that were coming out of Libya under Hillarys watch.

Didn't Obama's people say that they had word that these five promised to drop their terrorist ways, never do anything bad ever again, and behave like good Christians?

Yeah, the same time I heard that GWB released 500, with 1 being involved with the attack on Benghazi. ;)

Wait a minute. Wasn't it Bush that said we will be out of Iraq by 2011 unless the Iraqi people wanted us to stay? ;)
