U.S. Captures Benghazi Suspect in Secret Raid.....

Trade bait.

LOL. I got a news alert saying he'll appear in Federal Court. Different tract than Gitmo detainees. He's either going to prison forever or getting the death penalty.

So is the guy who created that internet video still in jail?

So is the guy who created that internet video still in jail?

Yea, I wonder if that guy who made the video is going to subpoenaed for this guys trial ?

Was Ahmed briefed about the video and to make sure he mentions that in the future? It's real important he sticks with that story. </ hyper sarcasm>

That said, it's good to know it only took 2 years to find one of these guys especially since news outlets had known where they were for weeks after the attack.

Let's not make a political issue out of this. We got one of the douchebags. I don't give a damn what party is in power. Kudos.

Trey Gowdy questions:

1. Can you tell me why Chris Stevens was in Benghazi the night that he was killed?
2. Does it bother you (the media) whether or not you know why Chris Stevens was in Benghazi?
3. Do you know why we were the last flag flying in Benghazi, after the British had left and after the Red Cross had been bombed?
4. Do you know why requests for additional security were denied?
5. Do you know why an ambassador asking for more security days and weeks before he was murdered and those requests went unheeded. Do you know the reason why those requests went unheeded?
6. Do you know why no assets were deployed during the siege? And I've heard the explaination which defy's logic frankly. That we couldn't have gotten there in time, but they didn't know when it was going to end.
7. Do you know if our President called any of our allies and said can you help, we have men under attack?
8. Do any of you know why Susan Rice was picked? The secretary of state did not go she says she does not like Sunday talk shows, that's the only media venue she does not like, if that's true. Why was Susan Rice on the five Sunday talk shows?
9. Do you know the origin of this mythology that it was spawned as a spontaneous reaction to a video?
10. Do you know where that started?
11. Do you know how we got from no evidence of that, that being the official position of the administration?
12. Why was security lacking during the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in the U.S.?
13. Why weren't military units moving to support consulate personnel?
14. Why were references to "terrorists" and "attacks" edited out of the Obama administrations talking points.

So which question does this answer Pete?

Ah, not those questions, listen to the first 43 seconds in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6kK7gAU0-A

I have a question for this " protester ".

Does he use a Cable modem or a DSL modem ?

Because some DSL can lead to allot of buffering.

I'm guessing he has a Cable modem.

Otherwise he would have been too irritated with the buffering to really work up the blind rage it takes to run out, grab some mortars and attack a US Embassy.

No he would have attacked the local office of his DSL provider.

Was this a raid to specifically capture this man or did they luck out and he was just there?

I would also like to know how they identify these people.

Do they check their drivers licenses or what?

Here is an Issue that brings up a host of questions.....Which State Dept people will be taking Depositions. Sure hope they don't lie.

17 February Martyrs Brigade......

The 17 February Martyrs Brigade is very well armed. Based in the eastern city of Benghazi, this brigade is thought to be the biggest and best armed militia in eastern Libya. Islamist in outlook, it is funded by the Defence Ministry and is thought to consist of about 12 battalions equipped with light and heavy weapons.

The group has carried out various security and law and order tasks in eastern Libya and Kufra in the south.

Rafallah al-Sahati Brigade

Named after one of the first Libyans to die while fighting Gaddafi's forces in Benghazi in March 2011, the Rafallah al-Sahati brigade is a splinter of the 17 February Martyrs Brigade. It is estimated to number about 1,000 and is deployed mainly in eastern Libya and in Kufra.....snip~

Now isn't that a bit strange that these guys are funded by Libya's Defense Ministry. Yet they were hired by our State Dept to act as Security for our people in Benghazi. Note they are Islamists as well.

What needs to come out now.....Is who Ordered them to be hired as Security. Then Who Approved these guys. Then.....what Hilldog was told about them and her final word.

Guide to key Libyan militias.....

_74976764_b5c7436f-2e75-40bb-a903-9b76027ec507.jpg

Libya continues to suffer from a chronic absence of security and law and order after the ousting of Muammar Gaddafi, with almost daily assassinations, bombings and kidnappings, in addition to a plethora of common crimes. At the root of the crisis is the existence of a multitude of armed groups that emerged from the aftermath of the Libyan civil war which ended Gaddafi's 42-year rule in 2011. Since then, many of these groups have melted away as their members re-entered civilian life, but some still survive in the form of official and non-official military units.

These groups are seen by Libyans as both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, in the absence of an effective army, they provide security across much of the country and protect the borders.

On the other, they have been accused of human rights abuses, unlawful detention and of taking the law into their own hands.

Below we profile some of the main militias as well as the security bodies affiliated directly or indirectly to the nascent Libyan state.....snip~

Capturing criminals involves a lot of luck and diligence.

They usually identify by photographic evidence, tracking suspects, and finding physical evidence where the subject has been or had holed up, and from people around or near them, material witnesses.

DP exists to make a political issue out of anything and no one mentioned political party's. I mentioned it took too freaking long though.

The first 43 seconds of the video didn't have questions, he re-read statements from President Obama. So one guys arrested and Obama's in the clear in your opinion... yes?

Well, I think they forgot about some of that classified material becoming unclassified and then will be released to the public.

Moreover this doesn't explain what they knew and how long. Nor does it explain BO not putting the country on the Highest alert possible for the 11th Anniversary of 911.

He just can't get around that fact. He thought it was party time. Election time. To busy trying to Look Cool.

We have Captured one of the Terrorist Ring-leaders in the Benghazi attack that killed Stevens. This is the guy who is one of the leaders of the Ansar Al Sharia groups in Libya. He was at the hotel bragging a while back he wasn't going anywhere. Then took off once he found out we knew him and his group that was working Security Set up the roadblocks on our people. He is enroute to the US or Gitmo now. No others were with him. So he is the only one caught so far. What say ye?

U.S. Special Operations forces captured one of the suspected ringleaders of the terrorist attacks in Benghazi in a secret raid in Libya over the weekend, the first time one of the accused perpetrators of the 2012 assault has been apprehended, according to U.S. officials.

The officials said Ahmed Abu Khattala was captured Sunday near Benghazi by American troops, working alongside the FBI, following months of planning, and was now in U.S. custody “in a secure location outside Libya.” The officials said there were no casualties in the operation, and that all U.S. personnel involved have safely left Libya. The Washington Post learned about the capture Monday but agreed to a request from the White House to delay publication of a story because of security concerns.

Officials, speaking on condition of anonymity about the still-secret operation, would not say where Khattala was being held. They said he was “en route” to the United States, but would not say when he was expected to arrive.....snip~

Well ain't that convenient.

This guy has willingly been interviewed on CNN and elsewhere plus had no idea he was wanted.

You have an excellent point.
We should free all of the terrorists that killed our people, then go and arrest Obama and Clinton instead.

Why bother capturing murderers when you can have a nice faux conspiracy for political gain off the backs of our dead Americans instead?

He knew they were looking for him WCH. :2wave: But you are Right. He was Interviewed in a Hotel by CNN. Was having drinks and got cocky.

Edited. Had to find the piece. ;)

Timeline:

Late December 2012 to early January 2013: Although Ahmed Boukhtala, a member of an Islamic terrorist group, is the main suspect in the September 11 terrorist attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, he continues to live freely in that city. Libyan authorities are reluctant to become entangled in cases like his, which involve terror-group affiliations. In an interview with a Libyan newspaper, Boukhtala neither admits nor denies his role in the September 11 attack. In response to a direct question regarding the incident, he says:

Let’s first ask about the reason for their presence in Benghazi in this suspicious and secret way. The other thing is: what is the nature of work they were doing in Benghazi? What was the role that the consulate was playing, and who gave it permission to violate Libya’s sovereignty and intervene in Libyan politics?” .....snip~

This would go with these guys.

Timeline:

September 22, 2012: Fawzi Bukatef, leader of the February 17 Martyrs Brigades, says that the Obama administration took no action during the attacks on the mission in Benghazi, and that “We [the Brigade] had to coordinate everything.” Bukatef's account is entirely consistent with Libyan Interior Minister Wanis al-Sharif's earlier assertion that Libyan security forces had essentially handed the U.S. mission personnel over to the attackers.....snip~

Yes, I agree. The Benghazi attacks that took place on 9-11-12 and the leader of that attack is captured on 6-15-14 (2 years and 9 months.) is a pretty good job.

But please note that on 9-11-01 the twin towers were hit and our President (George Walker Bush--January 20, 2001 – January 20, 2009) said that "he can run but he can't hide". Eight years that gentleman held that office, and he actually had Osama bin Laden cornered at Tora Bora and he let people that we were fighting earlier to go in and get him. Well needless to say we know how that worked out.

Then Barack enters on 1-20-09 and bin Laden is killed on 5-2-11 (2 years 4 months.). I must say that Barack got better at this by 5 months.

How come these terrorists are always captured around election time? :shocked2:

The election is in what, 5 months?

We have elections every other year. It's always "around election time."
