Obama Is Sending 275 US Troops To Iraq

Biden is one of the few politicians who has skin in the game yet you ridicule him. It is shameful.

Biden is a loony tune who, in the words of Former Secretary of Defense under both Democrat and Republican Administration Robert Gates "Has been wrong about every major foreign policy decision over the last 30 years." He is (I use the word ironically, deliberately, and accurately) "literally" worthy of ridicule.

1. The towns ISIL has taken over thus far have been Sunni towns. The last time the Sunni tribes turned against ISIL, ISIL almost didn't survive. It is therefore likely that ISIL has made a bargain with the Sunni tribal leadership - autonomy in return for victory. Most of the towns that have been taken thus far have had at least a heavy element that wanted to be taken over.

2. Baghdad is not a Sunni Town. It is run by the Shia, who will actually fight for it. Militia's fighting with actual determination can turn urban warfare into a bloody nightmare. For all it's resources and men, ISIL is still fighting a war on two and a half fronts - against Iraq, against Syria, and to an extent against other extremist groups who might take advantage to impinge on its territory. It is unlikely they have the ability to forcibly seize and hold a city the size of Baghdad against the will of its populace while also holding on to what they have already taken.

3. Baghdad is defended by Qods Force - Iranian Special Forces. These are the guys who gave us the Explosively Formed Penetrator, and almost caused a political swell at home large enough to drive us from Iraq. And Rouhani has already stated that the desecration of any significant Shia shrine would be a red line for him. My bet is, unlike our current feckless administration, he actually means that.

I think regime change is in the cards for Iraq, and we'll probably need to give safe haven to Malaki and a few of his inner circle of friends. Just as America did with the Shah of Iran not too long ago.

Yea, they can fight side by side with Iran's Revolutionary Guard and chant long live Komeni! When did you become an Iranian sympathizer?
I know you often get caught up in your own personal stuff and it creates in you this thing that prevents you from reading or comprehending what has been said. I'm pretty sure thats what you have done here (yet again) so you might want to reread what was posted. My comments were in support of the presidents decision. It has nothing to do with Iran OR for that matter...Iraq. It has everything to do with support of a commander and chief and our servicemen when placed in harms way. I have consistently done so. Some things are more important than blind partisan hatred and foolish personal agendas.

Just being a good person and helping your neighbor is enough. What good has BHO, who occupies the office of the (formerly) most powerful nation in the world done?

He has been a good person and tried to help his neighbors.

I don't waste my time at far right rags like 'The Daily Caller', but you have my permission to waste your entire life there.

You don't seem to understand how it works.

You may certainly disagree with whatever opinion the Daily Caller might have but this is a video of Joe Biden being interviewed by Larry King, and nothing more. It really is safe to be viewed.

Maliki can flee to Iran if he wants to.
