Then do so. Apparently you are the only one here that listens to Rush anymore, you don't have to follow his advice.

No, they spend their days dipping their hands in my pocket for more welfare. . .

And please post the handbook and please post which page it says that employees are free to kick people out because of their looks.

Nice try and shows your absolute lack of knowledge here. Each franchising operation is set up slightly differently. Take McDonald's. Their franchisees must follow the same policies and buy from the same vendors the corporate restaurants do. KFC, not so much. The corporate policies they sign onto are almost solely down to trademark issues. They don't even have to buy their chicken from corporate approved vendors, but may choose their own. Franchisees may even have delivery if they wish whereas corporate stores cannot.

If she is talking about this employee handbook:

    http://www.bgfood.com/index_htm_file...20Handbook.pdf

I do see on page 18 that they don't tolerate harassment of anyone including disabilities. But nowhere does it mention their right to harass customers.
I call my own shots, largely based on an accumulation of data, and everyone knows it.

I wasn't aware of all the differences until my mom had bought my daughter a Dairy Queen giftcard and we went to a couple places that wouldn't accept it because they were franchise and not corporate. I finally had to call her to ask where she bought it so we could get some dang ice cream. It is kind of interesting how that all works.

That's B&G Foods, not from KFC. They are a YUM franchisee in Lousiana.

Ah thanks, that's just what I got when I searched for a kfc handbook. I would assume all are more or less similar.

I searched for the KFC and/or YUM handbooks, and they don't seem to exist online.

Solletica seems to have disappeared. I guess we'll have to wait for more pearls of her wisdom.

Now that's a hoot. So if some franchise owner decides to buy his chicken from Al's chicken and flickins next door whose meat storage practices have raised the ire of state health inspectors, that would be cool w/corporate, right? ?
