So Obama made Detroit and Chicago safer then? That's good to hear, especially from you.

MADD - Statistics According to MADD over 10K people died in 2012 from DUI accidents, so by your logic 10K people should be in jail for providing the cars they were driving.

    Discussion?

    Article is here.
The gun should be re-registered, just like an automobile with all the receiving gun owner requirements met....EXCEPT we know they won't be. The problem here is threefold...

    1. above

    2. just like stolen cars it does nothing about stolen guns

    3. the real problem is nut jobs and gang-bangers (nut jobs and gang bangers that the cops can't/or won't do anything about until after the fact)

That's about 1000 deaths. Mostly dead gang members. BFD. Not all were from handguns. Prove to me where the guns came from. Usually stolen.

You think ANY gun purchase right now is not reported and registered? Surprise, surprise, surprise.

I'm sure (at least I hope so) there wouldn't have even been an issue if he bought the gun and then sold/gave it to his uncle.
    That's correct.

The instructions for a 4473 expressly state that purchasing a firearm as a gift for someone who is not a prohibited person is perfectly fine. It also states that taking money to purchase a firearm for someone else is prohibited. Abramski screwed up by taking money for the purchase before it was made.

Not true, I have said all along the don't just gather all that info on you for nothing. But if we believe them, there is no registration.

There's a difference between buying a gun as a present and acting on someone's behalf to buy a gun.
