Yes but loitering is an actual crime while being homeless is not.

That's one reason why I proffer precipice speach over being sensitive.

What do you mean get worse? All they did was put some spikes on their property.

I'm guessing you think something more happened and from the looks of it you can't figure out what that was. They didn't act towards anyone, no one was harmed, and in the end all that happened was that they put some spikes on their property. That's it. Ok, they were put there with the intent to stop homeless people from sleeping on their property. So what? Is that something I'm supposed to have a problem with?

You seem to only think direct causes are valid. I stated my objection.

As long as its not in front of their business, home or child's school they could care less.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

The only issue I see with this is that it could potentially harm someone. Imagine an old lady walking by and slipping on some ice then landing on one of these? It'd be a wet dream for any lawyer. I think a few flower pots would have done a far better job and there would have been less uproar.
I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. - MLK

Perhaps flower pots covered with metal spikes? I have extra, and am willing to sell, if anyone's interested...
