The homeless can either get off their lazy, drunk asses and get a job, or join a mental institution, or die. Those are the only 3 acceptable options. We have important matters to worry about and don't need these leaches bogging us down.
yup, monstrous attitudes from people who have little sense of human compassion. People who's attitudes are like yours are disgraceful to the greater human race.

Only a ****ed up person wishes more hardship upon the homeless.

How else do we solve this problem if not with manic violence and inhumane cruelty?

    It's what Jesus would want.

There are not any other places in the city the homeless can hang out or sleep? Perhaps in front of your home, child's school or place where you work since you think it is cruel to not want homeless people to congregate where ever they want.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

Actually, most cannot get into a mental institution. Reagan the Idiot took care of that.

OK you just went right off the rail there. I can only hope you were being facetious, as tacomancer has also delivered equally fatuous stances

I mean sure he spent the last few pages dodging and dodging and dodging. But kill people? I hardly think that level of (I hope) sophistry is necessary to quell what is obviously so farcical.

Also by the way, everyone participating in this thread should do some research on the topic. Outside of the links in this thread. Why? Because as is in my experience the usual reaction at a message board? Such reactions quite often preclude many facts that are not useful in a "message board" setting. This topic has much to do with a "issue" that some in London would rather not have highlighted, and has less to do with "helping the homeless" than some DP posters would say.

In fact the "spikes" that are alluded to in the OP? And the picture of them in same? Not remotely the case. In fact the "spikes" the vandals poured cement over? Are in front of the windows of the store in question. How stupid of that store to expect that homeless people not use those "benches" formerly referred to in other architectural language as window seals to encamp upon?

I'd like to give a shout out to Captain Courtesy for confirming the common sense/tribal knowledge that re-opening the asylums, as was suggested by tacomancer, is an idiotic suggestion.

In addition to not answering numerous questions I asked you? You just 'liked' a post by Captain Courtesy that mocked people/posters who call for the reopening of the asylums, like that "idiot" Reagan did. Which you did. This is becoming comical.

Unfortunately that link does not lead to the questions you keep going on about and you are unwilling to let me know which questions you are referring to. Also, I stand by my asylum comment, mentally ill individuals would be better served there than on the streets.
