House Majority Leader Cantor loses GOP primary to tea-party challenger[W:243:247:349]

Re: Eric Cantor is Gone

Yes, and that's been demonstrated repeatedly. The same is true for Blacks.
Cantor loses and you two are throwing insults at Democrats over Blacks and Women.
To be expected with such a rogue wave tonite .

Re: Eric Cantor is Gone

I didn't say you hurled any insults,
I said you made an accusation against me (and you did).
Find the "accusation" or apologize.
You continue to change the subject away from Cantor, and the huge loss to your party.

Just remember that claims of hypocrisy always cut both ways.
Calling someone a hypocrite ups the ante of what you're doing tonite.
I will do as I've been instucted and walk away .

Re: Eric Cantor is Gone

Any thoughts on Cantor tonite or licking your wounds also?
As I say, look for Cantor to actually do what the liar Brat accused him of, helping Obama for amnesty.
You see, in your GOP trying to get things done leads to this kind of politics.
Cantor reaped what he sewed in 2010 .

It was you who mentioned that the Republicans pushed through the 17th Amendment and I responded with a link wherein the Democrats were defending it. That is all.

Facts are not insults.

I've seen it many times (though, to be clear, not by every liberal). Folks who'll decry the term "black cloud" as being some sort of dog whistle racism suddenly go very deaf when their counterparts are calling a black person a "house slave".

Re: Eric Cantor is Gone

I asked if your Texas had a sore losers law.
You said this, rewording to accuse me of asking if you're a sore loser.
Who's the sore loser? Me?
You've reached the level of honesty .

They can be very flexible regarding their source of outrage.

Got any facts on Cantor--or will you continue to deflect onto Democratic sins like X factor?
Looks like the bums in both parties will have the door hit them in ther ass this year.

You were the one who implied hypocrisy on my part with the "different strokes for GOP eh Xy" ;) bull****. I'm just saying there's plenty to go around. You're also the one who brought up Susana Martinez for the purpose of bashing her (since you seem to have forgotten).

I think he's upset that we're not more upset or outraged at Cantor's loss.

You've reached the level of honesty .

Then what was the purpose of asking me such a stupid question?

Re: Eric Cantor is Gone

Notice how they've all been diverting away to DEM sins.
Can'tor got demonized the old-fashioned way, by a good one-issue GOP ****job.
That is such a phenomenally disingenuous accusation, winky-emoticon or no.
So what do we get out of this GOP House of obstruction, inaction, and now disruption until this election ??

Re: Eric Cantor is Gone

Does your Texas have a sore losers law--yes or no?
Does the Virginia 7th have one--yes or no?
Both are legitimate questions in this day and age of politics.
Then what was the purpose of asking me such a stupid question?
I'm way ahead of you when it comes to anticipating, especially in your own party .

How can there be both obstruction and inaction? And what 'disruption' are you referring to?

Re: Eric Cantor is Gone

As to the opening post of the thread, this is the kind of unforeseen side effects you get with heavily gerrymandered districts. When you make a district as conservative or for that matter as liberal as possible, you get more and more extreme candidates out of the primaries. The base might like it, but it hurts the party involved at a national level as it gets further and further from the political center. Now as a result of this House Republicans will move even further to the right for fear of losing in a primary. I am sure the hard core base will like that, but it hurts them even more at the national level.

I would point out that I called this all on this forum way back in 2006. I pointed out that the Republican primary base would keep pulling the party further and further to the right and that as long as that went on, the party would be at a huge disadvantage at the national level. That is exactly what has happened since then.

Again, who are these sore losers? Why do you expect me to be sore that more conservative candidate upended Cantor?

Re: Eric Cantor is Gone

First, you're using my post to XY, so folks know Grant.
Second, have you said anything about Cantor--help me out?

How do you expect the Country to move forward tomorrow with new leadership?
Think Cantor's religion may have played a part in the upset--think John Sununu?

Why is the main body of GOP posters on this thread silent about the immigration LIES used by Brat against Cantor?
Dems will straighten out Brat's lies starting tomorrow .
You don't seem to be reading the posts before you respond to them.

Re: Eric Cantor is Gone

I'm asking you about a specifric sore loser LAW in the Texas State Constitution, usually by amendment.
Do you have one of these jewels or not in Texas--easy qwuestion?

Go soak your head. I get that you deem all conservatives racist but if you're going to cast the anti-Semitic stone as well then you really aren't paying any attention to your own vaunted side (which is entirely consistent with who I understand you to be).

Re: Eric Cantor is Gone

What should give strength and renewed hope to so many Americans as a result of this election is how easy it was to fire a lying, sell out ahole.

Certainly the rest of the RINOs will notice that inescapable fact.

Now, Cantor and Henry Guiterrez can take their traveling road show down to Mexico, where they are more appreciated.

"Expert" Larry Sabato gave this congressional district at 57% GOP on cable tonite, not impossible for a DEM.
Only 65,000 people voted, out of the potential of 700,000 in the GOP primary, since it was an open primary.
Cantor won last time with over 200,000 votes.
At the end, Dems drafted a candidate for the 7th.

Re: Eric Cantor is Gone

Isn't that how Cruz won last time, in a 3-way primary.
Then a RINO couldn't do a 3-way on him in Texas
Like Crist tried to do to Rubio in Florida.
Ohhhhhh we do but it's called the NIMBY law here. :2razz:

Good luck with the 3rd party Libertarian thing and the split of the GOP.
Then we can be like Europe, which the GOP Loves, and that .
