This is a sad day for the GOP.

You know that Virginia is an Open Primary state where anyone, regardless of political affiliation, can vote in any primary? In other words, Democrats could have come out to vote against Cantor in the Republican Primary. That should not be legal. It has to be an infringement on the First Amendment Right of GOP voters that Democrats can vote in their primary, or vice versa. Hell, isn't that what the General Election is for?
And standing against what's going on in DC is exactly what the country needs.

If Brat does what he says he is going to do, I will congratulate him. However, I don't trust any college professor who once worked for a Democrat.

The should be a lesson to the Left about how powerful the Tea Party is. Don't ever say they are gone again. They just took down the next Speaker.

Well some poor leftists at least, not all lefties are guilty of that appellation. But yes, I did mean the "dead" Tea Party, in fact didn't I see a thread titled that somewhere here at DP yesterday? As always, eschew premature reports of "death" least you risk being reminded of one of Mark Twain's most famous quips.

    ??

    A hindrance ?

No one is " hindering" this White House.

Honestly what a desperately dishonest statement.

Funny that was a GOP strategy in 2008. I think the whole process of the primary is stupid.

There is no infringement on rights, that is nonsense.

Yep, he is currently at 7%. I have always wonder how good any Libertarian candidate down here would do if he actually had some funds to campaign with. Here is the latest poll.

This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

Yea, but that what happens to squishes. A man of courage would have stood up to that charge of racism and doubled down on his remarks. He had no intention of praising the past racism of Thurmond, he was wishing him a happy b-day by blowing a little smoke up his a**, big deal....
