I probably have the least amount of love for Cantor on debate politics.
However, sometimes it's better the devil you know.
Cantor really was trying to do "incremental" steps for immigration.

If Jeb Hensarling really does climb the ladder of leadership, it is noted that he blew up the SuperCommittee that gave us sequestration, IMO.
I'm still waiting for the TEA party to completely divorce from the GOP, instead of trying to take it over.

Either way, Rand Paul and Ted Cruz can fight it out for the TEA vote while the
establishment GOP governors like Christie and Bush are the flip side of the GOP coin .

It will be interesting to see how Progs explain encouraging foreign invasion, when so many are still un/under employed. Can't see how such a strategy plays out, and how the agenda can be kept hidden much longer.

I guess unless you are a country in Europe, then it's part of the culture.

How do you think that the GOP will be doing in thirty years when the majority of the voters in the USA will be members of various minority groups?

    That's a pretty silly interpretation.

    "Encouraging foreign invasion."

I'll let you try to figure that out for yourself.

You could start by taking a look at the demographics of the last two presidential elections that the GOP lost.

These show what is happening in 2014.
Note the next big elections on June 24.
I haven't checked all primaries specifically, but if they're like the 2012 GOP Presidential primaries, they're all over the place.
Usually as open v. closed; as well as winner-take-all v. proportional.
Then you see primary v. caucus; all of these a true version of the 10th amendment.

I would fully support either party's efforts to set the rules for their primaries and limit participation ONLY to registered party members. But until they do, I have every 'right' to express a preference in any primary I choose because the rules INVITE me to do so.
We'll see whether RNC chief Priebus can continue to squash TEApartiers, as he has this term in the Senate.
Fact is Cantor made his own bed and has no one but himself to blame for his loss. If he treated democrats in his district poorly enough to get them off their rear ends to vote him out, and the rules allow it, maybe he should have reached out to them?
This is just the beginning of the throw-the-bums-out mentality I believe we'll see this year, both parties.
In your state, L. Alexander escaped a serious challenge this term, but Corker won't in two years .

No need. I already have. I think you might perhaps try to do some thinking yourself.

I haven't noticed any "progs" encouraging foreign invasion, as you charge.
I have seen children running from internal war-torn Central American countries.

As always, a common sense debate by Cantor on "incremental reform" blew up in his face.
Meanwhile, the USA continues to be impotent on solving its problems, no matter who you blame .
