Those are included. We've gained those jobs back as well.
So explain the shrinkage in the labor force and higher unemployment rate.

The only explanation is that there are far more people not working today both in the labor force and outside the labor force than there were in late 2007.

    This is absolutely, comically delusional.

People dropping out of the workforce is HORRIBLE news. There are 92,000,000 working-age people in America not working. That's 37 percent of Americans 16 or older. That is a whole lot of idle time being spent largely on the government dole.

    Stop believing this drivel, folks.

All the losses? Average wages have ticked downwards in all of 5 months in the last three years.

I'm sure the 21.9 million underemployed agree with you when compared to 11.8 million back in 06.
No one has claimed that the labor market is in similar health to '06. Underemployment has decreased in similar proportion to the U-3, declining from a peak of 17.2 at the height of the recession to 12.2 today.

Not only are these statistics BS, this is the most corrupt and sadly inept administration that I've ever seen run a hardware store, let alone the United States of America. This is the government of a third-world nation at work.

Obama is saving that as a gift to the Democrat Presidential nominee in 2016 in the hopes that he can save the Senate in 2014. Simple, crash politics - no concern for the public good, just saving the asses of the political elites.

shrinkage is real the 8.8 million jobs created is . Besides they are not the good quality jobs we had at one time. The jobs being created now are low wage part time service sector jobs.

Daily Job Cuts - Layoff News , Job Layoffs 2014 / 2013 , Bankruptcy, Store closings, Business Economy News < this site shows daily joblosses yes daily

U.S. jobless claims rise 8,000 to 312,000 - MarketWatch tell me how does the jobless claims rise by 8000 instead of going down?

ok ok sure lets say we created 217,000 jobs but claims went up by 8000 clearly mean that 225,000 jobs were lost.

There isn't a shrinkage in the labor force. There are more people in the labor force now than in December of 2007.

    Bureau of Labor Statistics Data

What you're likely referring to is the labor force participation rate. Big difference. And how is it explained? The Baby Boomers are retiring. That's how it is explained.
    and higher unemployment rate.
Well, when you have more people in the labor force, but roughly the same amount of jobs...

    Again, it's simple mathematics.

The only explanation is that there are far more people not working today both in the labor force and outside the labor force than there were in late 2007.
Yes, and we call them retirees and college students. Are there others who can't find a job? Absolutely. But many times that has far more to do with where those people live and the skills required for the job than it does a simple body per job.

No, they are not, bud. Until you people start using real numbers, which should include the millions Obama has chased out of the workforce, you're simply propagating a lie. Again and again, you choose to ignore those that dropped out of the work force altogether. They're still here, bud.
