The Taliban held Bergdahl for five years and now, they want to kill him all of a sudden?

First, he was sick with one foot in the grave and now the Taiban was going to kill him. Which is it?

A real competent president wouldn't even negotiate with terrorists.

If I was president and in charge of that situation I would have told those terrorists that if they even harm that man I will kill the 5 terrorists they want plus another 5 if the man isn't released. Sure it's a harsh position but those terrorists were the aggressors.

I'd like to see that but, realistically I really hope our government was smart enough to microchip those 5 terrorists, which could lead to a bigger bust/raid.

You have to understand....it wasn''t even a week ago and Navy Pride was screaming that we didn't bring Bergdahl soon enough. He hadn't gotten all of the FauxNews/Limbaugh talking points that he is spouting off now. Its actually kind of hilarious watching him spin.....

Wrong, Obama broke the law.

He disagreed with it ( he signed the damn thing ) and ignored it.

He gets a pass from the usual suspects and partisan hacks but that doesn't justify his actions.

Why do YOU think he broke the law ?
Bergdahl was sick ? They were going to kill him ?

Because the Obama administration needed a foreign policy win to bump the VA story ?

Or to return 5 Taliban leaders back to their terrorist buddies ?

If you disagree that this portion of the law constitutes a violation of the separation of powers then you can take it up with the Supreme Court.

Which is an issue as to whether or not the law is constitutional or not

Obama doesn't have the power to legally declare a law unconstitutional and have it removed from the books. He can CLAIM it is,but it remains the law despite his claim. His actions violates the law. That is pretty much fact. The QUESTION is whether or not it was a justified violation due to the law being unconstitutional. But there is no question that he acted in violation of the law.

As far as I know the Taliban wasn't even behind this and some "Islamic mafia" was behind it...

IMO, It would make ZERO sense to kill an asset - especially since they got what they wanted.

The way this whole thing played out was basically retarded.

Presidents have issued signing statements for 192 years for that purpose.

The President takes an oath to uphold the Constitution not every law the Legislative branch pumps out regardless of its constitutionality. Whether or not his actions violate an unconstitutional law is irrelevant.
