Wow, how absolutely intelligent you show yourself to be while in this thread, you talk about corporate welfare, when if you bothered to look at this at all you would know that this is the mother of corporate welfare, crony capitalism boondoggles...Way to go!

Obama and liberal progressives should do their part for carbon emissions, and close their pie holes....Yet here we have another example of a liberal progressive that doesn't even know the basics of what this will do for the emissions of carbon into the globes atmosphere. Since the hard working people of Ohio, Kentucky, W. Va, and all the other coal producing states that are getting hammered by this bad governance can't sell their product here in a country that will take care to burn it in responsible ways, it will end up on the global market where more 3rd world countries, and places like China will snap it up to burn in less high tech plants, and in the end wind up spewing even more emissions into the atmosphere than if they would have allowed it to be possible to keep it here.

Not to mention how this is going to absolutely hammer the middle class, and the poor in terms of monthly energy bills, taking that money out of the economy....You guys are real genius I tell ya....
Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.

This is brilliant strategy. While this drives up the cost of electricity and oil, we will still be sitting on a pile of coal either selling it all to the Third World for their power plants or we can change the law and start using coal here again.
