Try telling the resident expert on everything TurtleDude that FDR was one of the three greatest Presidents.
Btw, I tapped on to a thread about Ted Cruz.
If Dems could be so lucky .

There are serious common sense discussions and then there are only the partisan bickering.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

I do not see big business and the unions getting out of the back pockets of politicians anytime soon - especially since Citizens United upped the ante.

So, probably not in my lifetime, hopefully in my son's.

The Citizen's United thing made a whole generation of voters understand why the SCOTUS should be a primary concern when voting for POTUS.

I clearly want Unions and Big Business out of the back pockets of our politicians. So yes, I aim that at both parties. Always have, always will.

Yes yes, I understand that, we get it, you want money out of politics, are you offended by the Citizens United ruling?
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

Offended? Disgusted more like it. Large sums of money or favors directly or indirectly from a donor sets up tit for tat. Just because legally something is not a bribe does not mean in spirit is not a bribe.

What doe's anyone think about this?

My thoughts are that neither Cruz, nor Carson will ever see the inside of the White House except as guests.

I doubt that either one of them will be the GOP's candidate.
I like cruz where he is in the legislative branch, that is where you need a fighter. Ben Carson is more measured, a better disposition for the executive branch I'd say.

If you voted I'm sure you'd vote for Hillary.

you can freely engage in unsubstantiated speculation but that doesn't change the condition of cruz or the other main GOP candidates. Neither of the 2 presented in the OP or the others vehiculated like Rand Paul or the other guy... the one with the water deficit... i forget his name... anyway, all of them are flops. They can't get anyone outside their base to vote for them and it's doubtful that their base will too. And no, they base isn't 50%+1 of the total voters so you need to get the independents and the center leaning democrats.
