His Platoon leaders were on Megyn Kelly's show last night...They both concurred that he deserted.

The doctors will help him now. Hopefully, he can has some semblance of a normal life. The military will do its thing, but I don't forsee them punishing him after being captive for 5 years. Maybe just ETS.
Nope...There is a classified file on him, and questions have to be answered....He doesn't get to do what he did, and just walk...At least I hope not.

Afternoon Blue_State. The second half of the interview will be aired tonight at 9:00. It was a compelling interview.

While Megan Kelly was interviewing Bergdahl's platoon members, Jon Stewart expressed the feelings on the left as only Jon Stewart can do.

You really think we should STILL be in Iraq? Really?

At what point do we leave? At what point do we stop spending our blood and treasure in such places? Or are you of the opinion that we should become the American Empire?

Here's a clue, guy, something the world began finding out after WWI: it's very, very difficult (in terms of blood and treasure) to occupy other nations if they don't want you there. That's why there were so many colonies before WWI, and pretty much none now. If we stayed, the people there would see us as occupiers, as colonizers, and - since they are Muslim - as crusaders...and that means a great deal to them - all bad.

But I guess that in your book, we're not patriots if we don't stand up for America's imperial aims to occupy other nations....

You feel that America has imperialist aims? I certainly don't.

And you shouldn't try to speak for Islamists.

And why was it that Bush held a cabinet meeting on the invasion of Iraq ten days after he first took office in 2001? And why was it that part of the meeting concerned the oil that Iraq had?

And why was it that Bush's former biographer stated that Bush told him that he wanted to be a war president, because war presidents are always more popular?

And who was it that elected Bush? Twice?

Jon is so left it hurts. Any credibility he had is long gone. I remember when the show first came out...it didn't seem entirely left. Now it is just another Bill Maher show.

What they should see is the only force in world history that has spent out treasure, and spilled our blood to give them the opportunity to be free, and govern themselves...yeah, you're right, we are evil....
