Here we have an act of violence perpetrated against a Republican, which isn't all that unusual, but in this case it's a little different. Although when asked, the campaign said they won't speculate on a specific motive, I'm sure they have a damned good idea exactly what that motive was... It's hard to miss the 900 pound elephant in the middle of the room.

Vandals destroy Republican candidate’s campaign office: This was ‘no random act’
May 29, 2014
The Washington Times
Vandals broke into Republican congressional candidate Carl DeMaio’s campaign headquarters in San Diego on Wednesday, just six days before voters head to the polls.

Police have not identified a suspect or motive, but the campaign’s communications director Dave McCulloch said he is sure this was “no random act of violence,” he told NBC’s San Diego affiliate.

Computer screens were smashed, cords and cables were cut, and water had been poured on laptops, printers and copiers. Police believe the suspects may have entered though an adjacent office, the station said

The openly gay Republican is challenging Democratic Rep. Scott Peters in the state’s 52nd District in a race considered one of the country’s closest. His challengers in the June 3 Republican primary are Kirk Jorgensen and Fred Simon.

If you somehow missed that elephant, maybe this story from 4 weeks ago will help you to see it:

Carl DeMaio: Gay Candidate Says He Is Being Attacked By Liberal Groups Because He Is A Republican

Gay Republican congressional candidate Carl DeMaio feels he is being attack by liberal groups and LGBT-friendly organizations simply because he is a Republican. Ads mocking DeMaio have included putting his likeness on the body of a drag queen.

Dana Perino of Fox News first brought the Carl DeMaio race to national attention after flying to the state to meet the man who might become the first openly gay Republican to be elected to the state Congress. Perino was moved by Demaio’s life story and achievement working across the aisle to foster economic growth when serving in other elected positions. The man referred to by many as “the gay Republican” was orphaned at 13 when his dad left the family a few weeks for his mother died. He and his brothers and sisters were separated into different foster homes by social services

...

DeMaio had this to say about the response from liberal and typically LGBT supportive groups throughout his candidacy:

“It’s a standard set of talking point to demonize the Republican Party. Let’s put on the record that the Republican Party has its fair share of problems it’s got to deal with on these issues, and that’s why I call myself a new-generation Republican. These progressive activists are wiling to put aside what they claim to want to achieve for LGBT Americans in the name of partisan politics. But I am going to continue to be who I am, which is, I am for inclusion and acceptance and diversity in the Republican Party around a message of reform – fiscal reform, economic prosperity, government accountability.

Carl DeMaio: Gay Candidate Says He Is Being Attacked By Liberal Groups Because He Is A Republican

Re: Vandals destroy Republican candidate’s campaign office: This was ‘no random act’

My congressional district (NH-1) is held by a mornic Liberal bitch. She's being challenged by 2 Republicans - the guy she defeated in 2012 (I hope everyone who voted for her chokes) and a gay man named Dan Innis, who is the candidate my husband & I are supporting.

I've actually heard Liberal morons here (most of them Massholes who moved here to wreck this once soldily conservative state) criticize him for being Republican, calling him names and implying he was stupid because he left the plantation.

Luckily the LGBT groups have endorsed him and not attacked him.

I heard about what was happening to DeMaio. It seems the California Liberals are even uglier than the NH Liberals.

I would guess this attack, was from someone in the Republican party who doesn't want gays in their party. Possibly from the Family Research Council.

If you think that I'm 'worried about' you, you're living in a dream world.

This thread isn't about me. Did you want to post on the subject, or just about my posts?

I very much doubt this attack was from liberals, as I said above this could be from Republicans who don't want gays in the Republican party or it has crossed my mind this could be a false flag operation.

I don't know why liberals would want get caught trashing a gay candidate's election headquarters as it would be the height of hypocrisy. Besides what would be the gain doing it?

Liberals hate gays, minorities and women that dare to step off the plantation.

Hell, it could have been Justin Bieber or Bristol Palin too.

Why would Republicans in California not want gays in their party?

Because of the Family Research Council FMC.

Oh, they could do it, I just don't believe under the circumstances, they did it. It doesn't make sense.

Re: Vandals destroy Republican candidate’s campaign office: This was ‘no random act’

Because of the Family Research Council FMC.

I suppose anything is possible, but those people are pacifists as far as I know. They're religious, but not radical. This act was perpetrated by someone/someones with a lot of hate.
