There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

Laughing, coming from you that does give me my first good chuckle of the day- thank you.

But oh where are you when all the CONs post their 'libtard' rants????

CON, LIB, PRO, DEM- I use them all. That you duck out on the slightest excuse than admit the OP was a 'breitbart/OKeefe' disengenuious CON hit piece, that in the CONGRESSIONAL race the gay commuinty is attacking the GOP candidate on his positions not his choice of lovers, and the biggest turd in the punch bowl are the Fundies and extreme right wing CONs who DON'T want a gay guy representing them....so you resort to the typical CON game....

Yes, everyone is innocent, etc. However if we compare the history of both parties there is one which protests more quietly and peaceably and anther who is willing to lie, lie under oath, and commit a great deal of violence and property damage to make their point.

This is silly for anybody to think they can use instances in history to indict different people today which had nothing to do with those things.

Dems could just as easy talk about Tea Pot Dome and Watergate and Iran Contra and all the lies and damage done to the nation from those things to indict modern republicans.......... and that would be just as silly and outright stupid.

Yes, Dems could talk about what you mentioned but they would have to go back a generation to a President who was told to leave by his own party for his wrongdoing. There is no Democrat equivalent.

But I am talking recent history, which this is all about. You would have no problem telling which party is which in the example I gave above, right?

For me, Watergate and Iran Contra are recent history. Its all a matter of perspective. When I hear Republican Mike Turzai talk about manipulating a new law to decide presidential elections in favor of Republicans in his state - that reeks to high heaven and has the potential to be worse than most of the examples provided against Dems. When I see my own US Representative in the Congress - Thad McCotter (R) Michigan, serve at least his last two terms in Congress with illegal petition signatures that people pled guilty to - that is disgusting and far worse than some of the examples listed.

So its all a matter of whose ox is being gored.

I spent the last three years in my state capitol working as chief of staff for a state legislator and believe me - they are all less than saints and many far closer to ladies of night without the happy ending.

None of these examples demonstrated rioting, the damage of public property, the violence, the setting of fires, and so on. It's not a question of which party is more politically honest but which party is more capable of the property damage demonstrated in the OP. The answer seems clear.

They clearly demonstrate a direct attack upon the sacredness of the vote of the people - and is that not what you object to?

I see the examples of right-wing vandalism I posted were handwaved away or just ignored.

I'll condemn that just as strongly as you'd condemn left wing motivated vandalism, your response being "well the right has done it too" so I guess that just makes us all even.
