Is a mariachi suit a common article of clothing worn by gays, or just among non-Mexicans?

Sounds like she would need Ray Bans.

I thought mariachi suits were a common article of clothing for mariachis.

I did have to look that up and came up with this:

"The word "mariachi" was thought to have derived from the French word mariage ('marriage'), dating from the French Intervention in Mexico in the 1860's, related to the music’s appearance at weddings. "

    Now that is ironic.

What he said.... being gay isn't a license to be an idiot. I can't help but think CNN is like 99.9999999% of major corporation with a dress code. I do believe any female who dressed like Charo everyday would still be working there... maybe in a small apartment downtown where the equiv of an executive key opens THAT door....

But not in the cube farm...

Gay people are funny. A yellow mariachi suit? LOLOLOLOLOL

And a bit of advice, black Americans are tired of you comparing your "struggles" to theirs. It's absurd.

    Rosa Parks? Really?

I will admit I'd wear a yellow mariachi suit for $60 million. Probably not $50 million though. I have standards.
As a black gay person, I will say that I don't like it when the LGBT struggle is compared to the black struggle. When you generalize both, yes, there are some similarities, however overall there are major differences. Mainly being that LGBT while being screwed over in the US, yes, but it doesn't compare to the terrorism that black people had to deal on a regular basis from both state and nonstate actors.

Did you even read the article you posted? Then you might know he did not actually wear the yellow mariachi outfit to the office.
I call my own shots, largely based on an accumulation of data, and everyone knows it.

100% agreed. I've said the same thing myself, however, and had my head handed to me for it.
