    4. The federal government would provide compensation to the families for their losses.
    Yes. This.

Jail or at least massive fines would be better than simply shuffling folks into more obscure federal positions or letting them retire earlier.

It's tough to choose with all the scandals going on out there.

Well he just didn't know, untill CNN told him. Maybe if CNN were made a govt agency there would be less scandal.

Yep, this and if it is found that any personnel involved broke any existing laws, they will be criminally prosecuted. But for now I will sit, wait, listen and watch as there are two ways the president can go about this. He can use this scandal to improve the VA and make it a whole lot better and he can paper over it trying to prevent political damage.

I would advise the first. If he does this, there really won't be any bad political fall out on him and it will look to the American People that he was notified of some wrong doings and he dove right in to fix the problems. Trying to paper over everything as running out a laundry list of achievements his administration has accomplished with the VA and for our servicemen won't cut it.

Michelle Obama and Jill Biden have done quite a lot for our veterans and deserve a ton of kudos. It is time now for Michelle's husband to do the same and get that whip cracking and the problems with the VA fixed and fixed as quickly as possible. My two cents
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

It's the military. Firing people didn't fix the problem when three generals were forced to resign back in 2007 over the Walter Reed Hospital Scandal. Demanding resignations doesn't fix the problem because it's inbred in the culture.

The other problem with demanding resignations is that people can learn from their mistakes and are less likely to make the same mistakes again, as opposed to bringing in someone new and having the same mistakes made as under previous leadership.....which appears to be the case here.

Since Obama is the most blatant liar ever to occupy the WH...he WILL do NOTHING.
Liberalism—dividing up the EARNED wealth of honest, hard working and ingenious AMERICANS and giving it to the leeches who would rather waste their worthless lives living off the government teat.

Yeah, but this time he's really, really serious.

A few years from now, if the investigation into the investigation doesn't run into a lot of snags this will probably, almost for sure, be over with.

    Stay tuned.
