Town's White Police Official Calls Obama N-Word [W:301]

I'd call Obama a nigger all day and I'm not even racist.

All nigger really means is an ignorant person.

I'm also getting sick of hearing it called the "N-word" - Are we Nazi's now? Because Nazi's loved censorship and loved to ban books, words and other knowledge that contradicted their utopian society.

I love how hes not caving into the progressive BS apology game either - people who use allegedly "offensive" language have NOTHING to apologize about.

Furthermore why can some black (or any non white) call me a cracker, white boy, honky etc and that is perfectly fine but the second someone is black is called a nigger the world stops, and people are made to apologize on Oprah and 20/20????

What the **** is that about?

Oh yeah, it's about the progressive utopia where if you're a lighter shade than brown you need to watch your P's & Q's , however if you're a darker shade than white you can say whatever the **** you want without being judged.

BREAKING NEWS: Greenbow, Alabama black city councilman calls President Bush "The Cr-Word".

Happened... NEVER.

Oh. I forgot that conservatives were often anti-education. My bad.

Really ?

Yes, Detroits a educators heaven ?

Michigan and Illinois are filled with exceptional students who exceed all National educationeducational standards. Especially in their inner city areas. ....

Oh wait, thats not right

But you know a defense attorney is going to latch on to anything that possibly might free his client. He is going to just state the commissioner has set up a racist tone to the whole dept.

In the OJ Simpson trial the whole trial got side tracked by whether or not Det Mark Fuhrman used the word nigger in the past ten years.

Well, teabaggers are all about the first amendment, even if they can't spell.

I agree, there's a level of ignorance in America that's truly astounding.

That is because slimeball attorneys aren't interested in a trial of the facts of the case itself.

County members? try members of Congress calling Bush a cracker that hates black people and black children. Not to mention ever black/Latino member of congress continually labeling republicans as racists while throwing around racist names such as white boy, cracker, snowflake etc...

Of course many reps denounce those accusations when they have their 2 minutes to address the committee but they never address the fact that these racist democrats, or communists racial attacks.

If I was a rep in either Illinois or even in congress I would denounce all of that ****.... I would never allow some self empowered asshat to even get away with such racist language - nor would I allow a bitch like Maxiene Watters get away with the racists totalitarian **** she implies - or better of just bluntly says.

I'd take the objections from my peers and the speaker - that would be fine. Like it would matter anyways considering my points have everything to do with minority democrats being cocky and race bait while in their congressional positions...

I suppose the problem is that republicans are too scared to take on a racist in congress, and believe a mere contradiction is enough to ruin their career if they contradict a black person or non-white.

I can understand the fear if someone views their job as being a politician - but libertarians don't want to be career politicians - we want to fix whats broken then go back to our everyday lives. If it takes 2-3 terms to really make a change than so be it - politics is a civic duty to us -its a career for others.

OK. I'm serious now. Which members of congress called Bush a cracker? I really didn't know that.

I spend a lot of time in a country where I am often the only White guy around

So do I. I've got a house over in the PI and it's not often that I go to places where the other expats are.

and have sometimes had people be rude to me because I'm foreign.

In all the many ports I visited over 20 years in the Navy, and in all the times I've gone overseas since then, I've had that happen...zero times. Yes, that never once happened to me. Why? It's obviously not because it never happens to Americans - absolutely it happens! - but because the great majority of the time that it does happen, it happens because the American brought the problem with him, whether it was in his attitude or his lack of understanding about local culture. And almost without exception, when a junior sailor would come back on board the ship after having a bad experience in whatever port we were in, it was because he had a bad attitude (by which I mean he didn't respect the locals) or got drunk or simply didn't understand the local culture.

And to this day I get really ticked when I see a fellow American making an idiot of himself overseas...because when he does so, it reflects on me, and on all of us.

On the other hand I've had far more people go out of their way to make me feel comfortable, and they are in the huge majority.

Absolutely! In all honesty, many times I've seen the locals go the extra mile to help me, even when they knew there was not going to be anything in it for them.

What may come as a surprise to many Americans is that every country in the world has a problem with the culture, color, religion or habits of their neighbors, to greater or lesser degrees. And that's just as true in Africa among Africans, Arabs among Arabs, Hispanics among Hispanics, and so on.

This, too, is very true - there's prejudice everywhere...and as you imply, all prejudice, whether it be against other races, ethnicities, cultures, religions, sexual preference, or gender...all that prejudice has a common root: the idea that one is better than the other person because {insert excuse here}.

Much of this 'racism' thing is just an exaggerated 'war on women' strategy that only serves to divide people in order to advance leftist political parties.

And that last line is where you went off the rails. You were doing so well until you typed that. Yes, the phrase "war on women" is a bit hyperbolic...but why do so many liberals use that line? Because who is it that refuses to consider making it a law to require equal pay for equal work? Who is it that doesn't want to allow women to have a choice when it comes to abortion, even in cases of rape or incest? Whose pundits are the ones who so often blame the woman when she gets raped? Whose pundits are the ones who have said that women shouldn't be allowed to vote? You see, there's a reason why most women vote Democratic - they can see just as I do the misogyny of so many on the Right.

Now, go back to what you implied earlier, about how there's prejudice everywhere. The fact that there is prejudice everywhere does not justify that prejudice. You are absolutely right that prejudice is prejudice is prejudice...but what you're missing is that misogyny is also prejudice, and the Right has metaphorically made its own bed when it comes to misogyny.

I've been to plenty to Tea Party rallies and I have never seen a problem - not even a grammatical problem.

What I have seen tho are the OWS type weed heads try to hijack the protest, and dissenters - even the media go out of their way to portray the Tea Party as a bunch of gun toting loons..... I saw that at Daily Plaza in Chicago - the media was so pissed they couldn't get a "redneck" on camera the anchor went bat**** crazy. They tried to interview me - I agreed at first but her attitude was so horrible I declined. She was so confused that the only thing she gave a **** about was weather or not I owned guns, liked guns, approved of the 2nd Amendment and if I was racist or not.... If she was shooting a live piece I certainly would have given her the rundown just to make her look like a partisan ass.

As far as grammar.... Well there is always this gem:

Oh yeah I can't find it because progressives love to censor the internet. Well there was a picture of a bunch of blacks holding ups signs that should have read: "I have a dream" however their signs read "I have a dram" or "I have a dreem" or "I have a Darem."

Of course google censored the pictures that were widely available less than a year ago.

I'm sorry but I didn't find anything in that link that said a member of congress called Bush a cracker. Maybe I missed it. I did see one link that said a congressman called Obama a "tar baby."

You seem to have missed the point of my sarcastic post.

It was mocking the fact that this is national news.

And, here you go, so much for Google censorship hey?

tea party misspelled signs

I haven't seen a credible source that says a congressman called Bush a cracker. That would be interesting.

I don't need your advice. I'm doing pretty well, but I'm glad that a good white progressive like you is taking his time to teach me how deal with racism that he's perpetuating, especially since his advice amounts to "be nice to white people." LOL, give me a break.

"Be nice to white people". That's nauseating.

You really have no idea why I told you not to hate, not to return spite with spite, do you? You really do not understand why I've been trying to get you to realize that while so many whites are indeed racist - and your own references agree for the most part that most whites don't even realize their own racism - most whites are earnestly trying to overcome their own racism.

Have you traveled the world, and seen the racism in every other nation, every other culture? It's there - I've seen it, and it's absolutely wrong just as it is there, and as you know, it's often much worse there than here. But what's the common denominator? What is it about racism in those other nations that's the same as it is here, that's the same as it's been (with very, very few exceptions) all through human history? Here's a clue, TPD: that common denominator is THE reason why white racism in America is worse by far than the racism by any other races in America.

What's that common denominator? You're educated - I believe you'll be able to answer that. But there's a reason why I'd appreciate it if you would answer that...because I believe that if you did, you might be able to see something very special that is happening, something that might have happened on a small scale in the past, but never, absolutely never on a large scale in all human history...and the hurt in your heart, while it will never totally heal, might lessen.

Dang!!! People just say stuff. And I'm sitting here shocked that a congressman would actually say that.

Now a white congressman could call Obama a tar baby

Rep. Lamborn likens Obama to a “tar baby” - Salon.com

But a black member of congress calling Bush a cracker would have been quite phenomenal.

Obama's election and RE-election prove that beyond a reasonable doubt.

Oh and the fact that there are still people that support him, lie for him and chose to remain willfully ignorant for him make your statement a axiomatic truth.

Of course, that's an assumption or an allegation. I thought that cons were all for the constitution, and people are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law and all that good stuff, apparently not, the cons already have Obama hung, drawn and quartered.

Still waiting for proof.

I don't think I am, but you threw out a blanket term, and I am only asking that you further define what constitutes "oppression" in the modern world so that I may know.

Regarding racism, oppression is not defined by individual tyranny but at the societal level, that which a minority cannot escape from. Generally that's national, regional or global.

When someone suffers every day of their life from unjust discrimination that permeates society and exists at all levels and all places, that's real racism.

Crying 'racism' about some BS that a minority spews, which is socially meaningless and will never threaten my ability to get a fair shake would be intellectually inept or dishonest with the intention of apologizing for and generally ignoring real racism, what it has done and what it is doing to our society.

It would have been truly remarkable if a black Congressman called Bush a cracker. Of course it would have been very offensive as well, but I would find it quite remarkable that someone who would call Bush a cracker could actually be make it into the US congress. Obama "tar baby" yes. Bush "cracker" no.

Ray Nagin had the nerve to tell Bush, et al, to get off their asses. Nagin has not fared so well since.

Nagin mismanaged that hurricane. He delayed FEMA, along with the governor. That disaster was the mayor and the governor's faults.

That maybe true, but he had the nerve to tell Bush and company to get their asses down there in front of the whole world. His ass is cooked now.
