I honestly think some people actually have that in their heads - waiting for Superman to come along and save the day.
It's our fault for not letting the U.N. do its job and sending soldiers everywhere. The U.S. gave itself that reputation of superman so now we have to deal with this bickering for us to get our asses in somewhere.

Long live freedom of religion. Without it, there is no freedom at all.
8th century Catholic church... Modern Islamic style though this time.

We've gone above and beyond and nearly destroyed our country in the process.

Who knows what we can do to save that poor woman in the Sudan, or those young girls in Nigeria, but we can certainly speak out against it. In fact it should be our duty to do so.
Speaking out is all good and great but won't force change to take and stick.

Not all Muslims are terrorists, but most all condone it. The outcry against it is drowned out by the extremists.

That's because the UN has shown itself to be a collection of incompetent boobs when it comes to military involvement; and ever since we allowed them to have command of ROEs in Beirut (and failed), we haven't trusted them to command our troops.

This isn't anything close to despotism, its just a free-for-all cluster**** with terrorist organizations.
God and religion are two different things.

In recent years only the Muslim world has had complete control of governments and we can see the consequences everywhere.

It might be all we have and Islamists are even trying to control that through using terms like "Islamophobia" (which some actually take seriously) or threatening death and issuing fatwahs. We can see how the media and entertainment industry is nervous about laughing at Muslims (a ripe target) or even publishing their atrocities. Instead they take the safe route by being critical of Christians and Jews.

While condemning with one side of their mouth they also make excuses for it with the other. CAIR is a good example of that.

Those who criticized America for being 'the policeman of the world' are now wanting it back.

Destroyed our country is a bit of an overstatement. But yes, this country took some hits with the god-awfully useless war that was Iraq. Osama Bin Laden is dead, airport security is quadrupled compared to pre-911 security, and every one is tired of the wars. So let's just quit them all and get back and never look at the Middle East again as we try to remove our oil dependence with research and innovation in renewable energy sources.
