Feds released hundreds of immigrant murderers, drunk drivers, sex-crimes convicts

When do you expect to see the next Republican in the White House?

I predict that won't happen anytime soon.

Wait and see.

Oh, and have a nice day.

The left has said this for some time. They said it just before they lost the house after 40 something years as well. I consider myself a student of history, and historically your claims haven't panned out, but in any case, lets find out together.

Were the stats provided by ICE, or did the CIS tell you they were provided by ICE?

Did you read the article? If you have contradictory stats, kindly provide them. Just a link, and a highlight of the discrepancy will instantly make your case. I await your data.

Well, crimes are committed by convicted felons probably every minute of every day. That's because we release people from prison, including illegals. I'm not sure why it should be shocking that drunk drivers who are illegals are released from prison, when citizens are arrested by the dozens in my city every weekend night and few spend more than the evening in jail. I suppose we could jail them all till deportation, but we'd have to build a lot more prisons, and then pay maybe $30k/year to house them all. What's a few $billion more per year to house more prisoners?

The article explains why 3/4s of the murderers were released - the Supreme Court requires their release. As to the remainder - we're VERY good at imprisoning illegals who commit crimes in the U.S. Roughly 1/4 of our Federal prison population is foreign born, some unknown percentage an illegal immigrant. But we can and do imprison 10s of thousands of non-citizens. So it's not very likely the 'convicted murderers' were people who shot their wife, was picked up by ICE, then released because Obama [something something]. Hard to tell from the story because they didn't try very hard to find out why we'd release murderers when we have the largest prison population on the planet, and imprison more per capita than any country on the planet, including without hesitation non-citizens.

I guess the answer is build more prison? Could be. The prison lobby pushed very hard for 3 strikes laws and for the 'papers please' laws in AZ and elsewhere. Growth industry!

I suppose we could hold them all indefinitely for years, or we could just do the deportations without hearings - round up anyone who looks like an undocumented and bus them to Mexico City or something.

Or we could just fly them to mexico with and make it clear that the next time it happens, they will be imprisoned. Weve done it before.

In any case, this is not going to reflect well on the dems. But its not the only thing to do that.

That's funny. What issues are the GOPers going to run on? Tax cuts for Romney to pay for Medicare cuts for grandma? Eliminate the minimum wage? Bring back child labor? Repeal the ACA and replace it with nothing? The economic benefits of unchecked pollution?

Its getting to the point where republicans can run simply on not being democrat. :2wave: Its almost like you guys are trying to lose the senate.

Um, the WT story is referencing the same story that MM debunked, they are both referencing the Jessica Vaughn report she wrote on the 2013 ICE numbers.

Apparently you have not read any of the articles, even the ones you cite.

Um, not one figure matches between the two articles, and yet you claim they are the same story. When asked, not one discrepancy in the figures cited can be produced, and yet you lefties still claim its wrong. Isnt that interesting?

Lets try this again, if you are claiming that the figures cited in the op are incorrect, kindly provide evidence of your claim. How hard is this?

Even CBS is getting in on the story... apparently they didn't read the Media Matters memo or are purposely not goose stepping in line to the liberal group think.

36K criminals freed while awaiting deportation, report says - CBS News

Last line of that article really cuts to the heart of the matter...
"What possible justification could there be for freeing a murderer who is being deported? Dozens of times?," she asked.

Id like to know the answer to that.

The irony, you want to use the pejorative "goose-stepping" (describing and most commonly referencing NAZI military marching) for liberals, whereas it applies, inherently, to the right-wing.

But go on and argue that the Nazis were/are left-wing, it will be a further sophomoric hilarity.

They were still a bunch of socialists. Take a look at the nazi party platform. Note how similar it is to the democrat party platform. Its remarkable, actually.

You are making the claim, You should provide a link to the statistics from ICE, not an anti-immigrant advocacy group.

This is funny, I dont think you understand how it works. I provided an article with data cited. If you claim it is incorrect, its up to YOU to show where and how it is. To this point, several liberals have cried about the article, implied its from a racist source, one poster even tried to provide numbers-but they dont appear to be related at all.

So heres the news-if YOU want to claim the figures provided are incorrect, BACK UP YOUR CLAIM, or else you just dont have any credibility.

I thought that too, but then if Hillary runs and gets the nod I'm not too sure. The republicans have to come up with a credible candidate. Hillary is too old and she has quite a lot of battle scars on display that can't be glossed over for the campaign. Could be sooner than you expect.

More Democrat voter registration opportunities and ACA navigators to keep busy? That almost sounded too jaded... nah!

Not really, who isn't jaded by this president and his party. Even worse than being soft on illegal immigration and crime, they are soft on the truth.

Again I predict that the GOP won't find anyone who will be able to beat Hillary. I'm not saying that she's the best, but who's going to beat her?

Let's wait and see what happens.

Barack Obama was hardly a blip on the radar in 2004. And like now, Hillary was a favorite. We know how that turned out.

I agree that it's possible that some Democrat might beat Hillary in the primary, but I don't see any Republicans who could beat her in the general election.

My point is things can change pretty quickly. Frankly, if the dems keep going down the road they are on, the only think needed to defeat Hillary will be not being a democrat.

We'll see about that in 2016.

I predict that it will be a long time before another GOPer lives in the White House.

"Better days are coming."
~ But not for today's out of touch, running out of time, GOP.

I like how easily you can declare the parameters of the discussion.

Sorry but that is bs as well.

To be able to put something in perspective you need information. All we have here is one years information and based on this information you and others on the right, are attacking the administration. That is utter bull****. That is like saying "I only earned 10k this year, I am poor", when in reality the year before you earned 10 million. Context and information.

What escapes you is the context of current American politics. This type of thing wont help the President or his party, but tragically, its going to result in the deaths and victimization of Americans who don't deserve it.

Probably a very different situation in Denmark, which is why you should spend some time gaining context-instead of smearing mayonnaise on fries.

And if this has been going on for the last 10 years, will you attack Bush and his minions as well? Will you attack the GOP for not stopping it? I kinda doubt you would go that far...

Bush has been out of power for 6 years, and he was soft on illegal immigrants as well. And I criticized him for it. So what now?

Immigration officials knowingly released dozens of murderers and thousands of drunken drivers back into the U.S. in 2013, according to Obama administration statistics that could undercut the president’s argument that he is trying to focus on the most serious criminals in his immigration enforcement.
Among the 36,000 immigrants whom U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement released from custody last year there were 116 with convictions for homicide, 43 for negligent manslaughter, 14 for voluntary manslaughter and one with a conviction classified by ICE as “homicide-willful kill-public official-gun.”

I think we know who to blame when crimes are committed yet again by these undocumented democrats.

There's no good track record concerning illegal immigrants.

President Ronald Reagan approved this “path to citizenship” amnesty due to what was believed to be a relatively small illegal immigrant population. Unlike many current politicians and amnesty proponents, Reagan called this what it was: amnesty. Unfortunately, there was widespread document fraud and the number of illegal aliens seeking amnesty far exceeded expectations. Most importantly, there was no political will to enforce the law against employers. The 1986 IRCA amnesty failed and actually led to millions of more people entering the United States illegally.

History of Illegal Immigration in U.S.

Reagan goes back even further than Bush, and amnesty is evidence that it doesn't stop the influx.

And now Los Zetas have made human trafficking an industry.
