Karl Rove: Hillary may have brain damage [W:40, 145]

Re: Karl Rove: Hillary may have brain damage [W:40]

Not to pick on you Polgara, but yours was a handy post as an example of what several where doing. My apology in advance for singling your post out.

This thread shows the classic example of conservative conspiracy nonsense. Make wild assed stupid claim that is clearly not true. Defend it until it is obvious, then change the subject in the thread(remember, it is Roves wild assed claim, not who donates more to charity). Wait a few months and all any one remembers is the accusation and how long the debate went on. Claim there has to be something to it for the debate to go on so long. It used to be you al just threw **** at the wall to see what stuck, now you throw **** at people and bitch they are surrounded by ****.

I know, Redress. My post was tongue in cheek. I feel that every person has a conscience that dictates how they live life. Is giving a beggar on the corner a few dollars to get something to eat an act of charity? I never thought so, but maybe it is. My dad taught us that you give in good faith, and that's where your participation ends. After that, it's out of your hands. Sure, there are those that work the system, but that's not my problem. I believe the universe is fair and balanced, and you are either rewarded or punished for what you do, and it has little or nothing to do with man-made laws, although they are important in a society like ours, if only as moral guidelines.

Re: Karl Rove: Hillary may have brain damage [W:40]

Mr. Rove's speculation is deplorable. It may not represent a new low in American politics, but it betrays an individual who has initiated a stealth campaign against Hillary Clinton that relies on baseless and ugly health-related speculation, rather than engagement on ideas, experience, and leadership. It's all but a concession that the GOP cannot wage and win a fight on principles, vision, and policies. If, in fact that's the case, that's unfortunate, as a vibrant two-party system can add value while a one-party system can lead to stagnation in the long-run.

That such a remark was made so early--even before the 2014 Congressional electon has been held--suggests that Rove sees the GOP facing major competitiveness issues on a national basis. In other words, even as the GOP could win control of the Senate, his current thinking is that the GOP won't be able to translate those gains into a national election victory. Hence, he's thrown up a trial balloon to see if his ugly rumor gains traction. IMO, focusing on finding and developing a strong candidate, helping him or her articulate a clear and compelling message, and developing a robust electoral strategy would be far more productive than testing vicious personal attacks.

Why would any speculation be deplorable? Wondering about something is asking a question.

Where did Rove do this? Into a reporters microphone or in a private meeting in a closed setting?

Re: Karl Rove: Hillary may have brain damage [W:40]

Faulty logic. Just being smart is not enough.

Is the measure of success getting the job or doing something while in the job?

Re: Karl Rove: Hillary may have brain damage [W:40]

Did she complete law school? Did she run for and win a senate seat? Was she nominated successfully as Secretary of State? Those are all inarguable things she has succeeded in doing, far more than most people.

Please don't throw the fact the she was named Secretary of State in there. You know Obama was trying to keep her controlled at the time.

Why must you denigrate her accomplishments? Sounds like a War on Women to me .

Well you have your opinion.

It is a shame the truth negates your opinion.

Can you honestly say appointing Clinton SOS was not a political move by Obama?

It was a political appointment, so no **** it was a political move.

Par for the course with this sack of feces.

Ah, the boy genius Karl Rove, manipulator of opinions and thief extraordinaire of presidential elections.....

Note he says "may" have brain damage, which is entirely possible.....

Clinton, weakened by a stomach virus, fell in her Washington, DC, home in December 2012 and sustained a concussion. Her doctors said a blood clot had formed behind her right ear in the space between her brain and skull.

We now know that a concussion is not a simple matter of a football player having his bell rung, and at 66 it's cause to be run through enough tests to drive the average person nutso anyway.

This is politique Americana, but classier than the Democrat frontal insult like Sarah Palin, Romney and that "Canadian" Ted Cruz, this is politicking at its finest....FUD, create fear uncertainty and doubt.....

Hillary Clinton is older than Reagan was when he ran in 80 and will be older than his doddering, nap filled final years. The Republicans missed the boat in the Barrack Hussein Obama juggernaut in pointing out the man's obvious inexperience, they ought not miss the opportunity to go for the jugular on Clinton's age and competency...after all this is a woman who understands jugular.

wow.. seems the criminal Bill Clinton said it was "quite serious and took SIX MONTHS to get over.."... seem Rove is correct to questions all this

Bill Clinton reveals it took Hillary 'six months of very serious work to get over' her concussion after accident - so why did State Department claim that she 'fully recovered' a month later
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton suffered a concussion and blood clot in December 2012, for which she was hospitalized for three days
Karl Rove suggested last week that Hillary Clinton is hiding something about her health
On Tuesday Bill Clinton spoke out about his wife's health and said 'there's nothing to' the Republican's claims

Hillary's concussion 'required six months of very serious work to get over,' Bill said. 'It’s something she never low-balled with the American people, never tried to pretend it didn’t happen.'
But the State Department said less than a month after Hillary's accident 'she seems to be fully recovered'

Former President Bill Clinton divulged on Wednesday that it took former secretary of state Hillary Clinton 'six months of very serious work' last year to recover from a fainting spell in December 2012 that resulted in a concussion and blood clot.
Her long recovery is 'something she never low-balled,' Bill said.

But Bill's timeline contradicts the State Department's claims just after the conclusion of Hillary's treatment in January 2013 that 'she seems to be fully recovered.'

It was a political appointment, so no **** it was a political move.

again.. your not even in the ballapark on the question.. Mason is CORRECT... her appointment was a "politcal move" to control Hillary and it was pay back for herand Bill the Thrill's endorsementof Obama and she accepted for politcal reasons to stay relevent for her annointment to be next in line...
she was far from the best peosn for the job.. much like Obama and all his appointings

I saw Bill's statement and thought what a great back up for her, 6 months of hard work to recover...

"But Bill Clinton’s timeline appears to differ from official comments from the State Department at the time."

What is interesting, no one has said 'what day' she fell.

It is nothing compared to what the left has done to Sarah Palin, George Bush, Ronald Reagan, or any number of Republicans the left has personally attacked. I can understand that the public expects more from Republicans than Democrats but we shouldn't be horrified when the situations are reversed.

six months to recover from a first concussion from a "fall" seems pretty odd to me.. and Ive had a few concussions..

the Clintons are criminals.. and pathological liars..

GO KARL GO

Karl Rove planted the seed but Bill's comment didn't helped Hillary-
only stirred the pot adding a bit more drama of confusion with his timeline

And the story will continue..........

No, the real war on woman was against Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann. This is a legitimate health concern, just as it was with Ronald Reagan.

Yeah, you need experience like being a business man or maybe a governor; something besides being married to someone who was.
