Karl Rove: Hillary may have brain damage [W:40, 145]

Which Carl Rove most certainly is not. He is a moron representing the worst of party and has done far more damage to it than he has ever done to help.

Are you kidding? Rove practically hand picks moderate republicans and steers them towards the GOP nomination.

Re: Karl Rove: Hillary may have brain damage [W:40]

2 things come to mind ... and they should have been obvious to you:

1) those groups you mentioned are what keeps the Democrat Party afloat.
2) that's what I meant by Conservatives help the poor with their own money, Liberals use everyone else's.

Unfortunately, conservatives really don't help the poor with their own money, bubba. Take the Koch's for instance....they mostly donate to the opera or the ballet....not to helping the poor or feeding hungry children.

Re: Karl Rove: Hillary may have brain damage [W:40]

In the light of what is being discussed (Making Hillary show her medical records and a another person--Obama--show his birth certificate.) I most definitely disagree. :2no4:

It was actually the Hillary folks that started the birther movement.

Re: Karl Rove: Hillary may have brain damage [W:40]

If what you say would be actual, I believe Ronald Reagan would have never made his second term as President, seeing that even the press was seeing signs of Alzheimer's disease.

The press during period in time could not find it's own ass with both hands.

The ultimate source is the book "Who Really Cares?" By Arthur Brooks. :peace

Arthur C. Brooks

Arthur C. Brooks became a contributing opinion writer for The New York Times in March of 2014. He is president of the American Enterprise Institute, a public policy organization in Washington. Until 2009, he was a professor of business and government at Syracuse University, where he taught economics and social entrepreneurship. He is the author of 10 books, including the New York Times best seller “The Road to Freedom: How to Win the Fight for Free Enterprise” (2012), “The Battle” (2010), “Gross National Happiness” (2008), “Who Really Cares” (2006) and the textbook “Social Entrepreneurship” (2008). Before pursuing his work in public policy, Mr. Brooks worked for 12 years as a classical French horn player, in the United States and Spain. He holds degrees in economics from Thomas Edison State College and Florida Atlantic University and a Ph.D. in public policy from the Rand Graduate School.

There is no contemporaneous account that says any such thing.:peace

To which the appropriate reply is: so what? Deal with the data. Btw, he was a professor at Syracuse when he wrote the book.:peace

That book was debunked years ago. All that book proves is that conservatives are more religious, not charitable. Exclude the tithings and liberals are far more charitable with their own money than conservatives.

James Peron: Are Conservatives Really More Charitable? Or Just More Religious?

Read this article from Psychology Today. I guess a seasoned reporter like Lesley Stahl is wrong when she interviewed him:

"Reagan didn't seem to know who I was. He gave me a distant look with those milky eyes and shook my hand weakly. Oh, my, he's gonzo, I thought. I have to go out on the lawn tonight and tell my countrymen that the president of the United States is a doddering space cadet."

Or his son Ron Reagan:

Ron Reagan writes of a "growing sense of alarm over his father's mental condition." He recalls the presidential debate with Walter Mondale, October 1984, in which his father seemed lost and unable to articulate himself. In "Ronald Reagan had Alzheimer's while president, says son

And apparently his politics run somewhere between Neoconservative to Libertarian. Point being? He is most likely biased.

Just more unsupported spew. Your link does not even mention the book. And far from being debunked, it is a standard reference. As for the silly article you linked, that's just a litany of anti- religious bigotry. Who knew you were such a hater?:peace

The book was published in 2006 (IIRC) and stands unrefuted to this day.:peace

And the substance please?

Wow, you've tried almost every truth suppression trick in the book, Jack. Did Saul Alinsky's handbook teach you how to do that?

:agree: Welfare, food stamps, unemployment, social security, medicare and Medicaid are all government programs, paid for by taxes. If I could consider that charitable giving, I'm sending an awful lot more to charity than I thought! I'll have to remember to remind my CPA of that next time I see him - maybe he could file an amended return for me? I only included Salvation Army, Food Bank, and others like that when he asked about charitable donations. :sigh:

Greetings, bubba. :2wave: Howya doin?

Are you trying to claim that all the taxes that help the poor are paid by conservatives. ROTFL.

Tax deductions sure help inspire the charitable giving don't they? Would you be as charitable if you couldn't deduct it from your taxes?

Karl Rove is a moron, eh Genius? And his being alive is such a 'bummer' for you.

Too bad.

Re: Karl Rove: Hillary may have brain damage [W:40]

You make the left sound just like Jesus. lol Well, helping the sick and tired was one of his teachings, wasn't it?

Imo, the liberals help the sick for the same reason that conservatives don't help the sick....out of pure self interest. Helping the sick helps prevent epidemic outbreaks and therefore reduces the risk of liberals getting sick. For conservatives, not helping the sick helps reduce the population ensuring less competition for finite resources.

So the difference is that while the left exploit the sick for their own self interest...which in turn benefits society as a whole (aka "objectivism"), the right wing tend to exploit the dead because they can't defend or speak for themselves (aka 'revisionism")...or vote.

Liberals don't want to behave like Christians or help the poor. They want the government to do it while they're busy tokin' up.

Liberals don't contribute much under any circumstances, tax deductible or otherwise. But I'll wager they're in the majority collecting government handouts.
