Mosley had two consistent seasons as a MLB with over 100 tackles. His stats were also pretty consistent game in, game out. He was also a freshman all american, two time concensus all american, 2 time SEC first team, a Butkus award winner (best LB in NCAA), and a multi-time national champion. Mosley's measurables were pretty good for a MLB, both in terms of physical stature (height and weight prototypical for the position) and combine (like his 4.4 on his 40 time)

Sam's only year over 5 sacks as a pash rusher was his senior year. Additionally, 9 of his 11.5 sacks came in a 4 game stretch. In 8 games he didn't register a single sack. This was the only year he was any kind of first team/all american type player. His measurables were relatively poor, coming in a bit under sized for DE but not quick enough for rush OLB.

I'm not implying that you've suggested otherwise, but I didn't want some people to read that and take away the notion that somehow it was wrong that Sam went in the 7th and the SEC Co-DPOY went in the top 20. Sam in the 7th was decent value (one of MULTIPLE potential value picks, as is the case in every draft), but also likely relatively where he belonged if he was going to be drafted.
Mosley is almost certainly a better player (though time will tell). All I'm saying is that a DPOY from a big-time conference in the 7th - that's a good pick if you can get it. At least to see if he really can play.

His results on the field will be what eventually puts him on the Rams roster, or keeps him in the NFL. Which is how it should be.

Until this year, there wasn't a lot of sex during the draft either.

Personally i am getting sick of hearing about it.
people are acting like this is a huge deal or something and it isn't.

no mid-level football player would get this much hype going mid 7th round in the draft. The only reason this is getting any kind of attention is because he is gay that is it.
if he wasn't gay no one would care.

no i see people getting all excited over a mid level 7th rounder that hasn't made the team yet, but i can hear those same people crying bigots and everything else if he gets cut.
there was not barrier broken that is a buch of BS.

there were gay athletes before him and will be after him.

again if this was a normal guy no one would give a rats rear end. guess what i don't care either and neither does the majority of football fans. why? he was a mid 7th round draft pick. most people stop watching after the first 36 picks. some watch the 2nd round but after that no no one cares.

Speak for yourself. As a Seahawk's fan, I can assure you we watch all the later rounds. That's where the real work is done.
