Tebow isn't gay, you do know that I assume?

Re: Rams select Michael Sam, NFL's first openly gay player [W:282]

I think this is really going to change football. I was talking to a co worker who coached little league football at one time. He told me some of the parents are really far out. He said this one guy got mad at his son for messing up and called the kid a "little faggot." Damn!

So this will really impact the game. Actually, it will be interesting to see if this has any effect on the brutal character of the game. Perhaps as the game starts to become more empathetic to unnecessary human pain and suffering, perhaps the game itself will change. For example, some of the brutal methods of hitting may be outlawed.

    Just some thoughts.

The question about how many NFL team owners are gay has nothing to do with Tim Tebow.

Who is "us"? Do you have people reading over your shoulder?

Anyone would have taken Manning. That is not the issue.
And like I said, Warner had been in the league, gone, off the other leagues, and back to the NFL. His story was well known. Tebow was bashed right out of college.

another dodge lol We are waitiing.
please stay on topic, support your failed statement, answer the questions and back up your false claim

are there other Christians in the NFL? its a very simple question why wont you answer it?

    heres some more questions:
are the majority of NFL players, owners, employees christian?
are the majority of NFL fans christian?

are the majority of NFL players, owners, employees gay?
are the majority of NFL fans gay?

how many players/owners have been outed, fired, teased, ridiculed, denied jobs for being gay/Christian?

any comparison to Tebo and mike is silly and any statement that tebo was attacked only because he was a Christianity is illogical, dishonest, false and unsupportable.

2.) correct this is why bigots should stop saying he is going to suck only because he is gay, he may suck, he may be great but it wont be because of his sexuality.
3.) also correct thats why the stories arent about sexuality and the sport but sexuality and the accomplishment/barriers over come.
4.) ok thanks for the meaningless point lol
5.) also correct and its not an AGENDA (thats just dumb) its just a FACT that this barrier was over come and sports IS society
6.) and it still is and equal rights is a win for family
7.) correct ans this is why there should be equality in the NFL just like everywhere hopefully we get there soon
8.) no need because equality effects us all and sexuality has been in the NFL for ever.

so again no bigotry here except for those against equality
In order for me to buy your version of reality, you'll have to prove that homosexuality issues have ever caused discriminatory practices in the NFL. Do you have an article or case that says gay football players were not allowed to play in the past because of their sexuality. If you got nothing... then you got nothing here either.

    Who is "we"?

The man's name is Tebow, not Tebo.

What do the sexual preferences of NFL fans have to do with Tebow?

He made the Pro Bowl 9 times, his career Approximate Value (as per profootball-reference.com) is 145, good for 66th all-time. And he was an awesome punt returner. I'm not sure who "they" are and how good they said Tim Brown was going to be, but Brown was absolutely awesome.

Testaverde kinda got thrown to the wolves on a terrible Buccaneers team, and because of his late start (he was a rookie at 24) and criminal lack of support from the Bucs and Browns, he was 32 before he was worth a damn. The Browns first year as the Ravens, he threw 33 TDs to 19 picks. And he had one VERY good year with the Jets. He was never great, but he was always OK enough to justify employing him.

Flutie got screwed. Nobody would give him a chance to play because he was too small. When he came back to the NFL, he led my Bills to the playoffs twice. And then got benched for Rob Johnson in the playoffs. We all know how that worked out.

    Because of the relentless hype.

Broncos-Bears, during that 9-2 run the Broncos had. Matt Prater kicks a 50-something-yard field goal to put the game into OT. Marion Barber fumbles on the Broncos' 35, and Tebow proceeds to drive the Broncos about 20 whole yards in about 9 plays before Prater makes another bomb to win the game.

Headline on ESPN.com that day? "Tebow Works Miracle" or some bull**** like that. Tebow had about as much to do with winning that game as I did.
