China blames U.S. for stoking tensions in South China Sea

China and Russia are already partners in crime.

Why, do they have a mutual defense agreement?

They certainly have a "Let's team up and then **** America" agreement.

Agreed. Right now, it's just China's dignitary puffing out his chest hoping to provoke a response from the U.S. Just talk; nothing more.
All it will ever be is talk, in my opinion. Russia has a notoriously bad habit of treating China like a subordinate instead of as a partner. It always ends up breaking them apart.

Do you think with the current crisis in eukraine and the south china sea, that this relationship will not evolve?

They may increase some trade ties, but we have seen how a Sino-Russian alliance has played out in the past, and I do not think Beijing is going to spring for another go at it.

Why do people always fear the worst and exaggerate like ****?

I'm still waiting for the latest supposed Armageddon BS with the situation in Ukraine. How long has it been now? How about Korea and Iran? Anyone happen to know if the nukes already landed and I slept through it all? Damn, I miss all the good stuff.

Chillax, people. It's okay.

What breaks them apart is that they are two great powers with no unifying ideology and a host of conflicting interests and territorial spheres of influence. Their partnership is unnatural and only surfaces in the face of outside stress. Competition over Central Asia, the Far East, and across the Asian rim vastly overshadows the window dressing of SCO military drills or bilateral defense summits.

And history repeats.

Germany is being played by Russia.

Poland and Czechoslovakia are being played by Ukraine.

Russia and Japan are being played by China.

Chamberlain is being played by obama.

Clinton Grants China MFN, Reversing Campaign Pledge

President Clinton Thursday reversed course on China and renewed its trade privileges despite what he said was Beijing's lack of significant progress on human rights.

Echoing the case made by George Bush when he was president, Clinton said he was convinced the Chinese would take more steps to improve human rights if the issue were separated from the threat of trade sanctions.

"This decision offers us the best opportunity to lay the basis for long-term sustainable progress on human rights and for the advancement of our other interests with China," he said at a news conference announcing his decision to extend China's most-favored-nation (MFN) trade status.

Considering the reciprocation, it rather makes sense.

Sell it off while it still has a positive value? The thing is, if the U.S. denied Chinese investment America would be accused of protectionism, among other things.

If America secured her borders, she'd be accused of things too, and?

The territory isn't in dispute to china.
