How about a clearer prediction- tge globsl temperature as forecasted by the IPCC?

If you'd rather look at it more scientifically, here's the data and predictions with the confidence intervals:

How about James Hansens well publicized predictions back in 1988 that he presented to Congress?

    Not bad, huh?

I'm guessing you are reading predictions in old 1970s copies of Popular Mechanics or Boys Life.
The ice caps are not rapidly melting - that is just more stuff authoritarian governments want you to believe.

The ice caps are growing, and IMO I wouldn't be shocked if in 10-15,000 years Illinois would be covered under a mile of ice again.

I encourage everyone to really take a step back and actually study the history of our planet. The Earth is a mysterious and living being and there is absolutely nothing humans can do to stop Geo's cycles - which as dangerous as it seems some want to do and some are attempting to do it.

Also, given the Earths age - our industrial revolution only happened in a blink of an eye, so attempting to even use data (which btw, doesn't go back that far or is incomplete or non-existent) to determine what effect what impact (if any) humans could have on the environment is preposterous.

Geology is the only means to actually determine how the Earth reacts or naturally progresses and what the geological record has shown is that the Earth is unstable at best and can throw many surprises at us (or living entities that inhabit the planet) without notice and can drastically change our environment in a nanosecond and there is nothing anyone can do about it and nor should anyone try to do anything about it.

    LOL. So wait.

You ask for the data and correct predictions.

    I show you some.

You dismiss them as not real, and offer no data of your own to show they are correct. Then you spin a whole lot of other yarns and pretend you made a vailid point.

Lets focus in on one single obvious thing... please support your contention that the Arctic ice cap is growing. And I dont want to see a single years data, because as we all (should) know, thats variability. I've just posted a graphic quite clearly showing a dramatic drop in sea ice coverage in the arctic. You just blew it off. Show me where I'm wrong.

Will NASA data help? I know some of you guys think they are in on the conspiracy. But here's that data:

Perhaps this is the basic difference between skeptics and the believers of AGW.

The skeptics, if they have a think about it, will consider the force of wind on the ocean and multiply the number by the distance from Bermuda to Ireland and get a huge number.

Those destined to believe in AGW will look at a pretty map with lots of colors and say that that must be right whilst never considering the power of a temperature gradient of 30 degrees c over 4000 miles.

Which do you think is capable of shifting the vast amounts of water moved by these ocean currents?

So he should be talking about CIA projects and sending in the Marines everywhere then? Or is it just "Obama Bad, Republicans good?"

Who said "Republican's good"? Or is that just your way of muddying the water some more?

Ah, we're going to parse sentences so you have something to attack me for. If you have anything of substance to add, let me know.

No, it's a simple question...you injected something into your response to adpst that he never said, or implied....I wondered why and you get all defensive....Great tell....

That's actually pretty much every apdst comment.

So assuming my theory of a CIA thing gone wrong, what exactly should Obama have done? Talk about CIA operations? Send in the Marines whenever one goes wrong? Maybe you disagree with my theory, but that still raises the question of why was Benghazi crawling with CIA operatives, and why did the ambassador choose that time to make his trip to Benghazi?

If you assume that there was some CIA **** going down in Benghazi, and that the ambassador's presence wasn't a coincidence....then it makes sense why there was a cover story, and it makes sense why the Marines weren't dropped in to rescue them. So if the ambassador's presence is a coincidence, what was the reason for it? If there was no CIA operation happening, why was the CIA all over the place? It's not just, to use his words "Anything to excuse the Messiah," it actually makes sense and it's what I assume any President would do in that same situation.

Or you could educate yourself with the link I provided that explains what moves currents instead of trying to act condescending while being wrong at the same time.

No point in really discussing the meaningful impacts of climate and policy in a thread like this because it always gets overrun by the ignorant who just want to derail the discussion.

People who question climate change need to watch a basic talk about how advanced the interactive models have become, and take their fingers out of their ears.
