The quality of thought in the alarmist community has really gone down hill. I guess they think that if they get really, really, really shrill that people will start paying attention to them. It's exactly the opposite, in fact, that is happening. The more shrill they get with their obviously over the top claims the less their credibility.
I see you don't get the joke.
Many Trump supporters have lots of problems, and those deplorables are bringing those problems to us. They’re racists. They’re misogynists. They’re islamophobic. They're xenophobes and homophobes. And some, I assume, are good people.

It's actually not supposed to have anything at all to do with who one finds trustworthy. If someone makes a scientific claim you look at their science. If you do that with climate science you find the science wanting.

    Some examples:

Michael Mann's hockey stick graph was produced using faulty statistical methods. Even random data fed into his algorithm produces a hockey stick graph.

The CMIP family of climate models, the main set of models relied on by the IPCC, missed predicting global temperatures in their only prospective test. All of them missed, all of them predicted temperatures that were way too high when compared to real world data.

The same family of models doesn't even agree with each other when it comes to trying to predict anything else about the climate -- precipitation, heat flux, etc.

IPCC predicted more frequent hurricanes. They were wrong.

IPCC predicted more extreme weather -- droughts, floods, etc. They were wrong.

IPCC predicted climate refugees. No refugees.

IPCC is still predicting an acceleration in sea level rise. No acceleration.

    And on and on.

If you look at the performance of climate scientists rather than the claims they make then the need for skepticism becomes obvious.

There appears to be no basis at all for any confidence in climate science as applied by the IPCC.

"The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule." --HL Mencken

Well, some politicians and pundits want it to be - not because AGW is fact - but it allows governments to dictate in authoritarian fashion while using scare tactics. If it's not terrorism - its AGW.

The worst part is that the EU wants to use AGW as a means to create a one world government (which wont happen of course) but that isn't stopping them from escalating the lies in an attempt to guilt nations into submitting to their demands.

Another bizarre thing is that these idiot progressives somehow are trying to imply "climate change" is somehow bad and caused by humans (AGW) when in reality our climate has been changing since day one over 4.5 billion years ago.

I mean does the typical less informed individual actually believe the climate didn't change before humans (or any living animal) walked the earth or even before that?

Also, to make matters worse for the AGW nuts - every prediction they have made has never occurred. First It was "snowball earth" in the 70's and in the early 80's it was drastic global warming caused by man, and many so called climate scientists of that era predicted goofy **** like the US would be "Water World" by 2001 if we didn't destroy capitalism, humanity, business, industrialization etc....

Hell, random no-name psychics are more accurate when it comes to predicting the future than these so called climate experts.... Hell, the weatherman can even predict the weather 2 weeks in advance - yet these global warming nuts are making 20-year predictions (which never come to fruition).

Climate change will eventually lead to migration at some point, however not in our generation or even in the next 500 or so years.

The real threat to humanity is via an asteroid/meteor strike, volcano or war - not climate change.

Humans/animals have been dealing with changes in climate since their/our inception. Why do people believe the "natives" actually crossed the sea bridge known today as the Bering Strait? do people think they were just curious and migrated for no reason? There is also another controversial theory that Europeans were here before the "natives" which is also believed to be due to climate hence lack of food.

Either way we cannot control nature and our worlds natural process. I think if people only knew the 4.5 billion year history of the earth they would think twice about what they perceive as climate change being dangerous to humanity.

Humans are extremely resilient and there are only two things that can happen a) humans will adapt which is one of our better traits as a species or b) we all drown in waterwrold because we are too stupid or arrogant to migrate. But like I said this is hundreds or thousands of years down the road, and quite frankly I highly doubt the "waterworld" theory considering we have ice ages and I'm certain one will return before we live in a waterworld.

And you dont get the joke either.

And then add a bunch of goofy arguments on how none of their predictions have come true based on predictions you read in science fiction magazines in the past.

If you actually look at what real scientists say, you'll see that the IPCC predictions have been roughly correct since the early 90s, although they missed the preidiction that the tropics would warm proportionally with the arctic - the arctic warming has been alarmingly pronounced.

I love your avatar BTW and am a huge Hawks fan but everything you said here is just not factual at all - it's regurgitation.

Their predictions have NEVER been right - as a matter of fact their predictions have been drastically wrong to the point where they backfired in their own faces.

Go back to the 70's and early 80's and read some of their predictions for our present day - their predictions are epic bull****.

At one point they couldn't decide if the earth was cooling or warming.

Also, a lot of these idiots theories came from alarmist books written by people that are anti-human and anti-capitalism, which is one of the fundamental problems with these scientists today that love to spew the whole "AGW" idea. These clowns are motivated to spew their nonsense for monetary and political reasons - not because it's the truth.

Now if you're so confident in your position then please provide at least a sample of predictions made by these so called scientists that came into fruition.

Please don't start with "melting ice caps" because a) we're coming off an ice age and b) the ice caps are really starting to grow.... Also, don't post links to stories about polar bear numbers shrinking when there are more polar bears now than in documented history.

    Protip...

You should only snark in topics you actually know something about.

And you don't know much about ocean currents. Not only are there loads of them... They are not wind driven genius boy.

Well, the ice caps are rapidly melting....especially the North Pole. Antarctica seems like it's gaining sea ice but losing land ice, but the measurements there are not very clear. But Arctic ice is quite well understood and dramatic:

    So there's one.

How about a clearer prediction- tge globsl temperature as forecasted by the IPCC?

If you'd rather look at it more scientifically, here's the data and predictions with the confidence intervals:

How about James Hansens well publicized predictions back in 1988 that he presented to Congress?

    Not bad, huh?

I'm guessing you are reading predictions in old 1970s copies of Popular Mechanics or Boys Life.
