I personally know many Dems who are pro-gun and CCW.

The problem is the blind and ignorant hardcore followers who sing the party songs without understanding their meaning.

    there are two kinds

    1) those who say-Yeah My party is anti gun but gun rights aren't as important to me as say

    a) what my union wants
    b) gay or abortion issues

    2) and then you have those who

    a) deny that the Democrats are any worse than the GOP (normally what I will get is hours hearing about how Reagan signed the Hughes Amendment or how some GOP assholes like Danforth or Cave in Kasich (who switched his vote after Clinton promised to sign the Kasich-Penney BRCA) also voted for the AWB

    b) claim that the Dems are actually more pro gun than the GOP

the second group I have no use for

the first group at least are honest that gun rights aren't that important to them

    C) Understand that gun rights is such a live wire issue that any real strict laws are so unlikely to pass that focusing on issues such as the vanishing middle class and growing corporate power in the government is the more important fight

    there fixed it for ya.
