Miami (CNN) -- Florida State University quarterback Jameis Winston, who overcame a rape allegation and won the Heisman trophy, was cited for allegedly stealing crab legs from a grocery store, a source familiar with the investigation told CNN Wednesday.
The Leon County, Florida, Sheriff's Office is handling the case, the source said.
Winston, only the second freshman to win college football's most coveted award, allegedly walked into a Publix near the FSU campus Tuesday night, ordered some crab legs, and walked out of the store without paying, the source said.

Talk about an asshat. FSU should boot his ass if this is true. But of course they won't.

Stealing is just shellfish. :2razz:

Who hasn't tried the ol' Smash and Crab?

After being alerted by Publix staff and an off-duty deputy on hand, sheriff's deputies met with Winston at his residence. Winston was "very cooperative," Wood said, acknowledging that he had not paid for the crab legs and explaining that he had forgotten to pay before leaving. Winston admitted he had made no effort to contact the Publix, or arrange to pay for the crab legs.

See this is proof that amateur athletes need to be paid! They can't even afford some crab legs!

Not true. New NCAA rules allow scholarship athletes unlimited trips to the snack bar.

Stealing seafood is a sin, and those who engage in it shall fry in hell..... most likely after being covered in beer batter.

He sells crab shells by the seashore.
