The thing is, poorly researched or intentionally misleading reporting is especially insidious if covered up by well-written articles - I can never be entirely sure whether I just read all anyone knows, or what they WANT me to know.

You might consider the idea that what's really troubling you is that it may interfere with your beliefs.
