Mark Cuban said it was a slippery slope too. I think the problem was that the players were talking about not playing and companies were pulling out of sponsoring and ads. The NBA wanted to protect it's own brand, and they didn't want to face an overall **** storm. It was about money. The Clipper fans and players shouldn't have to pay a financial price. I think it's fair they punished the owner and put the blame squarely on him. The NBA and Clippers have no reason to fear boycotting now.

Remember when Isaiah Thomas said if Larry Bird was black, he'd be just another good player? Would that get him banned now, too? Does this apply to players for anything they say, too?
