I probably did sorry. I listened all day to the sports stations today and the NBA is governed on arbitration. I don't even pretend to understand it all but...it is an agreement by the owners to allow an arbitrator to do what is best for the league. If it went to court and the illegal recording was evidence I would of course be for throwing it out. This is not a lynching it is a business decision. He is not at this point losing his business, he just cant go to games etc. That might be different because it goes to court.

I would hope most conservatives would value the property rights of all individuals and not support the public square lynching of anyone for a disagreement related to personal views.

As I said previously, the owners of the Orlando Magic have very strong anti-gay views that they've expressed and they've financially supported activist attempts to fight gay rights movements. Last time I checked, being an anti-gay bigot is not more acceptable in the mainstream than being a racist bigot.

Finally, he's going to have to pay taxes on the capital gain. All in all, it's going to cost him tens of millions and maybe even more than 100 million
That sale ain't gonna happen any time soon, this is headed for a lengthy court battle.

It's part of the contract he signs to be a member of the NBA and have his team play and make him those billions of dollars. While not everything in a contract is necessarily enforceable simply because you sign it willingly, I'm not aware of any particular law that would be broken by enforcing the contract against him.

Or, so now he's only going to be worth 1.8 billion?

no matter what happens, he's almost certain to die fabulously wealthy

However, no matter how much money you've got, it's gotta piss you off to have one stupid remark cost you a 100 mill

Nothing looks positive for Sterling. However, according to the article it looks like he could possibly have the NBA in court for the rest of his life, something the NBA I'm sure doesn't want. From everything I've read this issue appears to be a long way from being over.

It's not going to significantly impact him financially either, even with the capital gains taxes he would have to pay from the sale.

Should Sterling ultimately accept the ban and sell the team he purchased for $12.5 million in 1981, he could probably get more than double the record sale price for an NBA franchise. In its most recent valuations of NBA organizations, the Clippers were ranked No. 13 at $575 million by Forbes, with revenue of $128 million, and a profit of $15 million.

Re: NBA Bans Donald Sterling For Life

Donald "Sterling" was banned by Adam "Silver" lol

I have reviewed Donald Tokowicz comments and believe he must be mentally ill. He is married, is 80 years old, jewish, and dating a woman half his age who is half-black and half-mexican. He does not care if she sleeps with black men but insists that she cannot "bring black people to the game" or post instagrams with black men in them.

I want to know why she can't bring black people to the game but he is perfectly fine with her sleeping with black men. If he was "racist" you'd think that he would have a problem with his mistress sleeping with black men. But he doesn't care about that, he just doesn't want her to bring blacks to the games. I don't get it.
