I think he's going to be alright.
If a sale is forced, it won't sell for any where near the 800M.

He wants to disenfranchise others, perhaps the NBA should disenfranchise him. I'm sure someone would be happy to build a team in LA.

No way they do anything to Lee...or Barkley.

He's not going to get top dollar because right now it's a damaged brand. In addition, the buyers know he's in a tough spot so the can low ball him. Finally, he's going to have to pay taxes on the capital gain. All in all, it's going to cost him tens of millions and maybe even more than 100 million
The market value of his team is somewhere between $575 million and $1 billon and since he has no interest in selling, any forced divestiture that nets him less than what he considers a reasonable value will result in such loses being charged to the NBA through another suit.

But this is all hypothetical since I believe US anti-trust law would side with Sterling in any attempt to have the league force him to sell after 33 years of ownership.

Because they're hypocritical cowards who are afraid of the backlash - but if they were actually acting on principle and not political expediency, they'd accept the backlash as the cost of doing the right thing.

No, the MV of the team *was* between $575 million and a billion. What it is now is anybody's guess.

And the NBA isn't forcing him to sell. They're just putting him in a situation where it's difficult for him to continue owning the team. Your conclusions about US anti-trust law are worth no more than the paper they were written on.

I listened to the whole interview and all I heard was an ex player saying Sterling treated his employees like employees and not members of his family. I would do exactly the same.

The ex player also admitted there was no overt racism, but power plays.

Again I have to ask where is the proof he doesn't respect black people. This is a race issue after all and not an employeer/employee issue.
