Why do you think that is? You don't suppose that some of that has to do with the 7 Air Force bases, 9 Army bases, and 4 Navy bases do you? Or maybe because it's the 7th most popular state to retire to?

Cheap, since people are leaving California in droves.
We both know that homes in California are extremely over priced.

Some communities like San Francisco, Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach and wherever the rich liberal elite live keep prices over inflated to keep the undesirables out.

I believe the WSJ link I provided above mentioned that the average home in Texas is 60% cheaper than in California.

This morning I heard mentioned re: businesses abandoning unfriendly nanny state California and relocating to Texas that the average median priced home in California was $420 K while in Texas it's around $150 K. That California's highest state income tax bracket is 13% while in Texas it's 0%.

If people are leaving California, and if the laws of supply and demand are still operating, then it follows that home prices in California should be dropping, does it not?

unless, of course, the "rich liberal elite" have actually managed to manipulate the price despite widespread availability of homes.

Didn't someone already post a map of the US showing growth of GDP by state? Didn't both Texas and California make it into the top growth states?

What does that say about the correlation between liberalism and economic growth?

Toyota is one of the higher profile companies to do this. There are many others. Some come to Texas, others to other states.

We'd prefer it if the Californians who move to Texas to keep their jobs don't bring the ideology that ruined California with them.

Texans do for themselves, they don't look to the government for everything. We like it that way.
Maybe shedding a lot of those pantywaste Liberal pussies is part of their moving strategy.

He said Texans, not liberal wastoids that moved in or were brainwashed by the feds. Also, if Texans had been allowed to do what they wanted for decades, there would be a lot less of that money coming in. It's the federal government and the Libtards that are forcing that crap onto us, not real Texans.

Oh ok, so now you are claiming no right-leaning Texan accepts ANY federal money right? NONE, Zip, Nada anywhere correct?

I would much rather buy them a house and arrange mortgage payments they could afford so people could have pride of ownership rather then see the same money going to slumlords so after 20 years the people have nothing.
