No, as I understand it, cattle was removed from BLM (government) property, not his ranch, unless you can provide proof they were removing cattle from Bundy's 160 acres.
The cows were siezed by the BLM.

I guarantee you...thinking reasoned people can come up with a better response than sending in an armed response team.

Is that honest to God what YOU would have done?

    cuz...

No wonder the world thinks this administration is a joke. Talking **** and drawing lines in the sand...thats so...mom jeans.

No...No...Im sure there is NOTHING they could do but send in an army of goons only to have them run away like bitches and in the process turn the guy into a hero.

Bet you were real proud the day they stormed those Branch Davidians too. Hey...**** em...he had...like...tickets and stuff....

Holy ****. You actually APPLAUD their response.
Guys been ignoring court orders for years. And the fees aren't owed to Nevada. You think he'll pay a million dollars in fees or just buy a generator?

    I haven't applauded ****, you liar.

    Sad. Just...horribly horribly sad.
    Okay.

Do you know why, exactly, the fed sent in "an army of armed goons"?

Everything you need to know about the long fight between Cliven Bundy and the federal government

1995-96 bombings of Forest Service offices.

March 27, 2014: The BLM has closed off 322,000 acres of public land, and is preparing to collect Bundy's cattle. Bundy files a notice with the county sheriff department, titled “Range War Emergency Notice and Demand for Protection." Bundy also says he has a virtual army of supporters from all over the country ready to protect him. He also has Gardner. “I think Cliven is taking a stand not only for family ranchers, but also for every freedom-loving American, for everyone," Gardner said. "I’ve been trying to resolve these same types of issues since 1984. Perhaps it’s difficult for the average American to understand, but protecting the individual was a underlying factor of our government. ... My support is that I am determined to stand by the Bundy family in any fashion it takes regardless of the threat of life or limb."
They obviously knew damn well that, armed or not, this asshole was going to call in the militia kooks.

They should have simply placed a lein on his property and collected the money everytime Bundy took his cows to the sale and sent no one.

I just want to make sure we are clear...YOU believe the best resolution was to send in a team of armed goons. Right?

Well, let's look at the alternatives.

    1. Do nothing.

    2. Continue to fight the court battle.

    3. Roundup the trespass cattle.

Now, assuming option 1 was off the table and option 2 hasn't worked for two decades, then option 3 it is. Now, in order to round up the trespass cattle, you need to send people to do it. And this guy has already said he'd bring in militia people to protect him, I don't think you have any choice but to bring in armed people in response, simply for the safety of the employees.

BTW, I love how the federal employees who were doing their jobs are "goons," yet the self-deputized militia types get so such pejorative. Patriots, I'm assuming?

A lien is words on paper. This guy has been ignoring paper for a long time now.

I'm good with your suggestion that Bundy pay his fees to the State of Nevada, which charges $12 a head, not the Fed fee of $1.35.
You wouldn't suggest a person who doesn't believe in the fed get to pay the lower fed fee would you ?

Do you think the best solution was to stop paying grazing fees when Clinton became President ?
