Did you actually read the thread? Deuce wasn't the one who brought Putin into the conversation.

Anything to score a cheap partisan point, eh Grant?

    Yay...you.

People like Putin have to just be laughing their asses off.
Yeah, they had two dozen snipers on an overpass with sniper rifles aimed at their skulls. Guess they didn't want to see a body count, which unfortunately is exactly what the snipers and armed militia were hoping for... women and children downed first, of course.

I honestly don't see how anyone with two brain-cells to rub together can support a guy who has been a law-breaking deadbeat for over 20 years, while every other rancher using public lands has paid their dollar+/head for land use, who has ignored a dozen lost lawsuits and court orders, and who calls for an armed insurrection when, after ignoring yet another court order, the feds finally come to haul his property off federal lands.

Do you think if I parked my car illegally on federal lands they'd give me 20 years to move the damned thing?? This is madness.

He's gotten away with it for 20 years.

What stuns me is the blatant idiocy of people supporting the deadbeat thief.

It was just a chance for these guys to strut in front of news cameras with their guns. Any other time I really doubt this rancher would have given any of them the time of day.

How many women supported Bill Clinton even after it came out how he treats women?

Would you say they were blatant idiots?

    Moderator's Warning:
Armed guards surround Bundy, supporters fear imminent threat[W:208]Topic is about Bundy/BLM, not Bill Clinton's womanizing. Please stay on topic and do not derail the thread.
Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.

If they ignored your illegally parked car for 20 years, would the correct response be an armed federal task force with law enforcement officials threatening to fill caskets?

The Branch Davidians werent 'heroes'. People still get pissed when the fed response resulted in the slaughter of men women and children. Randy Weaver wasnt a 'hero'. Intentionally killing children and assassinating a mother holding a baby is still likely to inspire anger and hatred from ANY rational person. This incident wasnt the first time the fed has made dirtbags into 'heroes'. Hell...its not even the first time this administration has done so.

They haven't ignored anything. They've got twenty years' worth of court orders, judgments, cease and desist orders, demands that he remove his cattle from public lands, demands that he pay back grazing fees... 20 freaking years!!! And for 20 freaking years Bundy has flipped them the finger and said, "Make me, bitches!" He is not a victim here. He is a deadbeat lawbreaker who thinks that even though hundreds, if not thousands of other ranchers around the country have paid their miniscule grazing fees, he's a special snowflake that can tell the law to eff off. And when the BLM finally says that's it, and gets a court order to remove the cattle themselves, Bundy screams bloody murder and surrounds himself with an army of trigger-happy militia with sniper rifles pointed at the skulls of officials sent to serve the court order on Bundy. Supporting this narcissistic criminal scum is sheer madness.

Tell you what. When federal officials go in and slaughter a bunch of women and children, then you can compare it with Waco and Ruby Ridge. Until then, it's nothing more than an irrelevant derailment hook that I'm not going to bite.

They ignored it for 20 years...then sent in an armed response unit...THEN went home like little bitches. They look impotent and foolish. See...thats what happens when you draw stupid lines in the sand. You end up looking every bit the bitch you are. Seriously...I mean...lets be totally real here. THATS the solution??? They decide to do somethign about it after 20 years and THAT was the best answer they could come up with?

    Pathetic.
