This is so ridiculous. He quit paying grazing fees in 1993. Its federal land. In order to graze your cattle on federal land you pay a fee to offset the costs of managing that land. Basically its rent. He has been illegally grazing his cattle on 100,000 acres of public land for 20 years now. In that time he has racked up about a million dollars in unpaid grazing fees and cost the taxpayers God knows what with all his lawsuits against the government. He has lost every court case and last year a court ordered his cattle be seized to pay for all the grazing fees he owes. He then had a bunch of anarchist armed militia types come in and prevent the court order from being exercised and thus legally committed criminal contempt of court. The Feds not wanting bloodshed stepped down and now he is back to being a freeloader again...... And this is supposed to be some kind of patriotic hero???

I doubt you can see it but the point is that they look once again like impotent klowns. THATS the best solution they could come up with? Another idiotic 'line in the sand'? They couldnt have sat down with the Nevada officials, called him on his bluff to pay the state of Nevada not the fed? Everything they did makes the administration once again look like grade a fools. This administration cant successfully negotiate a solution to 1 cattle rancher in Nevada...is it any wonder people like Putin think Obama is a joke and they can pretty much do whatever they want without restraint? Being weak and portraying yourself as weak...well...shocking that others SEE you as weak. Obama is the political equivalent of Sid Gurney.
Your take is the same kind of foolish take administration supporters have on the Obama/Putin exchanges. Its not that people like Putin...its that Obama has made Putin look like a statesman and a leader. Most conservative posters on this site dont think the rancher is a hero...they think the administration looks moronic for 1-making this an issue after 20+ years, and 2-Looks like a bunch of thugs sending i armed individuals with threats to 'fill coffins' and 3-THEN look like chimps and chumps when the farmer was equally unimpressed with yet another "line in the sand".
I like how Nevada has been accepting fees for use of land it doesn't own.
