Armed guards surround Bundy, supporters fear imminent threat[W:208]

Re: Armed guards surround Bundy, supporters fear imminent threat

The problem is that many Americans weren't yet born, or don't recall, when Americans were much more free. Now they've grown dependent on government and will follow its orders, even if it's arming against their fellow Americans..

I didn't realize this at one time either, but once I started becoming more interested in such things and taking part in some political forums, I began to realize more and more just how bad the feds have become and how they are always trying to pull one over on us citizens. Sure, their methods are not always "illegal," but they are nonetheless unethical a lot of times.

Re: Armed guards surround Bundy, supporters fear imminent threat

Sexists are as bad as racists. And you've proven yourself a sexist.

I'm not interested in reading about or discussing the Taliban. I'm on topic, which is Bundy, not the Taliban.

Like I said, I'm glad the men in my life don't think women are property without minds of their own, as you do.
I'm on topic too, Bundy's militia is using women to hide behind.

I don't hide behind my woman with a gun, why would you be supporting such nonsense?

Re: Armed guards surround Bundy, supporters fear imminent threat

The comparison of one's fellow citizens to the Taliban or Hamas is beneath.

That's what terrorist groups do, the men put women up in the front line, hoping that the people they're fighting won't dare shoot a woman, or a child. These ain't my fellow citizens, I know people who have ethics and morals, unlike Bundy's militia. Harry Reid was correct, those are domestic terrorists.

Cowards. Can't fight like real men, they need to slither behind women and hide.

Re: Armed guards surround Bundy, supporters fear imminent threat

Question: In the midst of all this rhetoric, what laws has Bundy broken, and what are the appropriate penalties for braking said laws?

Here, read this link, it'll tell you about a cattle rancher that refused to remove his cattle from government land, it also outlines the penalty he paid for ignoring court orders.

Bundy was ordered to remove his cattle from federal lands too, he faces the same for refusing to obey court orders. You do know what that means, right? Contempt of court.

Everything you need to know about the long fight between Cliven Bundy and the federal government

With your sexist attitude, maybe the women in your life are finally standing up to you and telling you that they can make up their own minds.

Re: Armed guards surround Bundy, supporters fear imminent threat

Cowardly men--certainly not the type who could play Hockey.

Certainly these militiaboys have given NRA leaders/2A posters headaches.
Have you noticed any NRA or GOP leadership coming to the rescue of a 20-year scofflaw ?

You're right. My hockey playing husband wouldn't use me as a shield. He's smart enough to know I can think for myself. And not sexist enough to think I can't - as you guys are.

LAS VEGAS -- Local rancher Cliven Bundy may have his cattle back, but his supporters say they are still preparing for an imminent threat.

Militia groups from all over the country say they are flocking to the Bundy ranch to protect the family from a feared federal government raid.

The Bureau of Land Management allowed Bundy to release his cattle Saturday, after they felt threatened.

Bundy now has a whole contingent of armed guards surrounding him 24 hours a day.

Round 2 coming?

This kerfuffle is far from over with.

Mr Bundy and his supporters will not win. He will pay for his illegal activity.

Don't take my word for this, just wait and see.

My emphasis

THAT is the essential aspect of the present problem with Bundy, his militia "patriots", and those who support them -- it seems nobody in today's world is willing to "wait and see", they all want instant results - good or bad outcome doesn't matter, just so long as it happens NOW!

Then that pretty much settles it. He's breaking the law, and he and his posse's display of force are a threat to law and order. Unless I'm missing something that matters.

I hope so, because this appears to be a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't situation: Intervention risks sparking a Branch Davidian-like situation, whereas just letting them be makes a statement that white men can get what they want simply by brandishing their guns. As I said earlier, Bundy is posing a greater threat to RKBA than the most militant gun-controller ever could.

So it began in 1989 over the desert tortoise and yet this tortoise had managed to live side by side with these cattle for over 100 years? Doesn't this seem strange to you?

White men? What has that got to do with this?

1. desert tortoise is now an endangered species, just as the bald eagle once was.

2. no, not strange to me at all. This isn't so much about the tortoise as it is an American citizen who does not recognize the United States Government, and who is in violations of court orders.

Add defiance of court orders, or contempt of court.

What do we need? Patience.

When do we need It? NOW!!

1. desert tortoise is now an endangered species, just as the bald eagle once was.

They said it was an endangered species in 1989, which started all of this. How could it become 'endangered' if the conditions remained the same for the previous 100 years?

2. no, not strange to me at all. This isn't so much about the tortoise as it is an American citizen who does not recognize the United States Government, and who is in violations of court orders.
You feel that military helicopters, armed troops and SWAT teams are the proper response to those who violate court orders?

I predict that when this kerfuffle is over with the 2nd Amendment will still be part of the U.S. Constitution and Mr. Bundy's cattle will be off of U.S. government land and he will have paid his debt to the USA, one way or another.

Let's wait a while and see what happens.

How do you know that mil. helicopters, armed troops and swat teams were there? were you there?

Actually, what started all of this was Bundy's refusal to pay his fees, and contempt of federal orders. He and his ilk escalated and exacerbated the situation by armed militia showing up in his defense.

Cameras were there. Have you Googled?

Yeah. I see helicopters but not marked US Army, US Marines, US Navy, US Air Force.

The ones I see in the photos had no markings.

I saw a helicopter last summer that kept circling and circling the area I live in, it was all black with only a number on it. Should I have been afraid or scared?

A thought experiment: How would Fox "News" react to this situation if the armed men were black?

If you can answer that question calmly and without emotion, mad props to you, because many whites would not.

Someone posted a photo similar to this one;

Except, no armed militia took these bad cats down, maybe because one or two had night sticks better known as billy clubs.

That person was comparing firearms to night sticks, and I wrote that I didn't know that those fired bullets.

If that's the case it's a thought experiment that went terribly awry. Perhaps you should leave these 'experiments' of yours to the professionals.
