That would be great but we're so busy teaching them that violence only begets more violence that it'll never happen.

I really wish that there was some fairy land where a hug and a kind word solved everything but it doesn't exist, never has existed and never will exist.

Yes it is just as tragic. What makes you think that it isn't? Because they lived? Pfft. Try thinking in the long term. What are these kid's lives going to turn out like? Or do you just care that they lived and don't care about the consequences that this act will no doubt impart?

As I said earlier, when the left stops using tragedies to advance thier anti-gun agenda's then I will stop doing so also. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Umm, yes? I'd much rather be alive than dead. I'd much rather my child be alive than dead. Wouldn't you?

Pfft. Try thinking in the long term. What are these kid's lives going to turn out like?
Better than if they had been killed?

Or do you just care that they lived and don't care about the consequences that this act will no doubt impart?
Why is it an either/or? Can't I care about the fact they lived AND care about them getting the help they need to make sure they have healthy lives?

As I said earlier, when they stop then I will. Indeed the ONLY reason that I did this time was due to the left doing it every single time a mass shooting happened.

Doesn't turn anyway if they die. If they live, there is still hope for a better future.

But the important thing here is to help them and the families. I pray they heal well, both physically and mentally.

We had a rash of kids getting caught with those not too long ago. Fortunately they were just bored teens looking to blow up old junk, but they still broke federal law by possessing them.
Neither side in an argument can find the truth when both make an absolute claim on it.

However, if things do get nasty, I am prepared to do whatever it takes to end the situation with minimal injuries to myself and innocents and am amazed how many people aren't.
I've always been on the smaller side, so I've had to find "creative" ways to defend myself. Funny thing is, I stopped losing fights around age 15 and stopped getting into them shortly thereafter because people figured out that I was a losing proposition to fight. People who would consider attacking others should have the same attitude - that it's a losing proposition. They should know going in that if they attack a school they will end up getting stopped VERY quickly. I'd love to see big posters on the doors of our schools informing would be assailants of the kind of training the kids have been given and the level of preparedness of the staff. Let the idiots know that they will end up getting beaten unconscious, left tied up like a boneless leg of lamb and garnished with fresh rosemary by the Home Ec. class if they decide to do something stupid.
Our nation has not always lived up to its ideals, yet those ideals have never ceased to guide us. They expose our flaws, and lead us to mend them. We are the beneficiaries of the work of the generations before us and it is each generation's responsibility to continue that work. - Laura Bush
