Range War' Fizzles as Feds Round Up Illegal Cattle

The roundup of as many as 900 illegally grazed cattle from Nevada public lands continued with nary a hitch on Monday, despite grandiose threats of a "range war" from the livestock's owner.

Bunkerville, Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy had issued the threat in response to a long-postponed confiscation of his cattle, which he's been grazing illegally on publicly owned Mojave desert land around Gold Butte in Clark County, Nevada since 1993.

Now if you read some non mainstream media, you get a whole nother tale

Unfortunately, it looks like the "Range War" is not fizzling

Militias ‘mobilizing’ to support embattled Clark County rancher in clash with federal rangers

BUNKERVILLE — From near and wide, armed men are trickling toward Cliven Bundy’s ranch, where the rancher’s fight with the federal government has become a rallying cry for militia groups across the United States.

On Wednesday, that dispute teetered at the edge of deadly conflict, when Cliven Bundy’s family members and supporters scuffled with rangers from the Bureau of Land Management sent to protect the federal roundup of Bundy’s cattle on public land.

One of Bundy’s seven sons was shot with a stun gun, and Bundy’s sister was knocked to the ground; but no one was seriously hurt, and no arrests were made.

By late Wednesday, three militia members — two from Montana and one from Utah — had arrived at the ranch 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas. Other militia groups have inundated the Bundy household with calls and pledges to muster at the site. Their stated goal: to protect the Bundys from tyranny.

They say they are prepared for armed confrontation

and of course, the usual suspects are doing their best to inflame the situation

Waco-style confrontation looms in Nevada

Not good in a nation with so many convinced the President is an autocratic dictator and far too many willing to instigate armed confrontations.

It will make good entertainment though. Its already off to a good start:

Guns aready, the feds are prepared to kill their fellow Americans in order to save a tortoise. This seems to meet with the approval of many other Americans, particularly those on the Left.

A Ruby Ridge-style standoff is brewing in Nevada, where dozens of armed federal agents are closing in on cattle rancher Cliven Bundy over claims that Bundy has allowed his cows to graze illegally on government land, endangering a protected species of tortoise.

This could all be solved very quickly. All Cliven has to do is show us the documents that he owns the land he's been letting his cattle graze upon.
